And foreign aid. I'm guessing he does not have many friends in AIPAC and other such organizations.

I have consistently backed RP and I send him $$$. Come on TGR, if the entire media has been instructed by their handlers to ignore a guy, it is because they know he will change business as usual and they are not down for his change. No, they like Obummer type change. More $$ for Wall St, the Industrial Military Machine and all the pet projects that cost us to run a $1.5 Trillion annual deficit, cause you know Ronnie said "deficits don't matter". Talk to your friends and family, send the dood some cash to keep going. If RP doesn't get elected, this country is going down, likely sooner than later.

    And this from ZH:

FOX News Running Another Online Poll and Once Again Ron Paul in the Lead http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/americ...oom/index.html

The poll is on the right side of the page.

    Michele Bachmann 4.68% (1,211 votes)

    Ron Paul 74.12% (19,195 votes)

    Rick Perry 17.4% (4,506 votes)

    Mitt Romney 2.58% (668 votes)

    Other 1.22%

And check out The Daily Show’s Facebook wall! Hundreds of Ron Paul posts! http://www.facebook.com/thedailyshow?sk=wall&filter=1

Ron Paul is the shit. Im not going to watch the clip as I absofuckinglutely cant stand the smug of Jon Stewart, but Im sure he railroads him for one of his obscure statements taken out of context.

Whoever said noone gives RP respect because they all know hes going to turn their world on its head is spot on.

EDIT: Just watched the clip, and holy shit, Stewart just went up a notch in my book. Thats notch one.

RP is the only true Tea Party candidate. The others are all conflicted with religion, abortion, marriage and gay rights.

Why does Tea Party even endorse social reactionaries like Bachmann? They lose reasonable people interested in fiscal and monetary alternatives.

    Cafferty gets it right.

As the race for the Republican nomination heats up, there's one candidate who's been largely ignored by the mainstream media.

But Ron Paul is talking sense and more people ought to listen to him.

The Texas congressman has visionary ideas about where the country ought to be going and what sea changes are necessary in order to continue being a superpower.

When Paul ran for the Republican nomination in 2008 – he talked about the economy imploding, the untenable nature of the national debt, the eventual destruction of our currency and a limited role for government.

He showed tremendous fund-raising ability and had an absolutely rabid base of support. The problem was – it was too small.

In the four years since then, many of the things Paul warned us about have happened: We're deeper in debt. The dollar is worth less. The federal government is increasingly dysfunctional, and the country is more divided than at any time maybe since the Civil War.

Yes, Ron Paul is a conservative. But he's not one of those who hits you over the head with his bible. And looking at the current batch of republican wanna-bees, he stands out as maybe the only adult in the room.

In politics as in life, it's often the timing that makes the difference. In the case of Ron Paul, it seems events over the last four years have finally caught up with the candidate.

Paul's message hasn't changed – but the urgency of what he's saying has increased. And it seems like this time, more people may be listening.

He came within an eyelash of finishing first in the Iowa straw poll. Less than 200 votes behind Michele Bachmann out of nearly 17,000 cast.

Michele Bachmann has no chance of being the next president of the United States. Maybe Ron Paul should be.
Time to drop some cash to Dr. Paul.

So with all of those cuts he wants to make to the government, how many people will end up losing their jobs? Just curious.

Yup, looking at all the agencies he wants to get rid of, looks like it will be at least 400,000 jobs that will be lost. That sounds like a great thing for this country....

Department of Education - 5,000 employees
Department of Energy - 16,000 employees
Department of Commerce - 43,880 employees
Department of Health and Human Services - 67,000 employees
Department of Homeland Security - 216,000 employees
    FEMA - 6,651 employees
    IRS - 106,000 employees

*all numbers obtained from wikipedia sites for the respective departments.

Which would have a multiplier affect to the private sector of several million more jobs. Failure is victory for the Tea Party.

Oh, we done gots batshit crazy galore, as Stewart pointed out.
Almost all the other Republicans in that goon squad spout the *fact* they talk directly to God.
But one has to ask - What kind of conspiracy is in place to ignore Ron Paul's viable candidacy across multiple networks???
Rick Perry? Brought to you by the never-ending Bush regime.

I watched the segment; it is obvious that the Press and the Pundits do not want to give Ron Paul any press.

i am not sure I agree will all that R Paul has to say, but how much could it hurt to try it his way for awhile. And at the end of the day he's right on the foreign policy if we give up on the premise of making the Middle East and Africa a smiley happy place like the USA and just let them hack away at each other? Does that really hurt us?

I don't like they way we have forced our military to get down in the dirt with the natives and fight their war their way.
We are the super power and if it was really necessary (Iran invades)? We can always just bomb them into the Stone Age.

His comment rang true about Israel; Let them off the leash and stand right behind them just incase.
    Own your fail. ~Jer~
