Thread: MPC #70 Old Technology - voting 8-2 to 8-4

I've seen it done before so im not breaking any new ground here. Each time it was in a close race just like this...

Still doesn't change the fact I disagree with it does it? People steal shit all the time, does that make it right?

I'm really surprised mtcham's didn't fare better on this one as well. Being an MPC and all... The fact that the background pics were all black and white, combined with the classy B+W shot of that sexy ass camera... perfect lighting... Damn. Splitter's shot had some real mood effect going on, like it was on a horror movie. I dig it. The winning shot on this one didn't quite do as much for me. Just looked like a shot of a keyboard. Came out well I suppose, but it didn't particularly grab my eye. To each his own. Congrats to the winnah

And no matter what I say can't change your mind. I'm sorry you didn't win. It's the Maggot photo contest, not the "only maggots that post in photo video photo contest". At least I didn't post it in social media and tell everyone to vote for a particular entry, which is kind of how you are trying to spin this...

thanks to everyone that liked mine, and I agree, mtcham's response was a little surprising, but I guess not as much when there are so many quality, and as someone put it, polished entries.

unlike many MPC's (and voters this time around), I did see the theme represented well in each photo... some were obvious, some less so, but each had it IMHO.

the padded room tie-breaker thread I thought was a good idea. it only received 97 looks and the total vote numbers didn't sky rocket, but it probably served its purpose of breaking a potential impasse, though the moderator's vote is typically the tie-breaker I thought.

a great showing of an MPC, including some that got left on the editing room floor from the submission thread...

Dude, #1, I don't want to win these. Winning means I miss out the next two weeks looking for things to shoot based on a topic. Being picked as a finalist is perfect for me to be excited.

And you're spinning this. Look, my point being is, why get all these people who don't normally give two shits to come in here, contribute, give criticism, enjoy them all the time come vote? How about you ask them to shoot instead of just vote? Like I said, it's just weird.

FWIW I really liked mtcham's photo, but I felt like the camera was cluttered in a little to tightly with the prints in the background. It just didn't have quite enough space around it.
