This Oslo bombing and the weird shooting...Norway's mini-9/11??

Conservative nutjob behind it??? Islamic terrorist??? Doessn't seem to have the footprint of your 'standard' Islamic terrorist attack when one figures
in the attack on political summer camp...so I'm going with ultra-conservative nutjobs.

Not just found in the U.S. anymore...some sort of conservatard mitosis.

Define "Conservative".

There are groups in Norway that make Jay Faber look middle-of-the-road. Full on Nazi doesn't equal conservative except maybe in your far-left fever-gripped mind. That would be the same as saying every liberal on TGR agrees completely with Pol Pot (and actually believing it).


FWIW - my first thought on the matter was that it was indeed some ultra-right Nazi group.

My sons ex- girlfriend lives very near where the bomb in Oslo was set off. Shes fine as she was out of town, but wow. I'm glad she ok, shes a sweet girl.

At least now CNN/MSNBC/every other mass-mindrape "news" outlet can let Ruprect Murdoch drop off the front page and spend the next week drawing parallels between fringe Euro neo-nazi groups and middle-class white American gun owners.

Even stable natural system produces statistical outlyers, deviants, and extreme mutations. They cannot be predicted or effectively controlled without damaging the core elements of the system (crazy though it may seem, those extremes even provide a valuable purpose). The best we can do is study the response of the more extreme groups/individuals within the normal range, and do our best to moderate the pressures that might otherwise push those 'normals' to attempt to emulate the original.

The universe is only perfect in its design, not its implementation. Even water, in all its forms, does not 'flow' so much as 'bump'. Fun, eh?

Societies such as Norway's breed whacky fringe groups. Hands down the most dangerously freaky people I've ever known were Wegies (and maybe a few Pollocks). Thankfully, Norway's gun laws prohibit ownership of full-auto weapons (not to mention high explosives) unlike here in AmeriKKKa where anybody can walk out of a sporting goods store with an AK-47 "machine gun" and a few daisy cutters.

So the northern european countries are unique in their 'breeding' of wacky fringe groups? As compared to any other 1st world States? I beg to differ (an I am not implicating your home country here).

However, from an individual perspective, it has only been a month since the summer solstice in the north (worse than the winter in my mind - sleep and all that)

This dickbag describes himself as conservative, anti islam, anti multiculturalism and christian. He owns a farm and bought 6 tons of fertilizer in may. Registered gun owner and pistol club member. Former politically active as far right as possible, but left in 2006 because it wasn't hardcore enough. Very active at times online, seems well read in his narrow zone of interest though he likes long words and name dropping.

Personal guess is that the bomb was just a distraction in order to do the shooting.

Absolutely. What we can learn is that societies must work together and be cooperative, inclusive, and tolerant. The more people blindly follow singular and extreme dogma without compromise, the worse off everyone is.

Sounds like a good plan for cuts AND tax increases. Like I've said all along, the Republican and Tea Bagger refusal to consider raising taxes is the blind and singular dogma to which they cling; it is a race to zero, and will destroy the country.

Colburn will likely have to turn in his R-Card as he is using the ideas of socialist/pinko-communists in the company of Eisenhower, Regan, and Obama for even proposing tax increases.
