nope no fenders. Just a little improv mud flap...i.e. a cut up tube zip tied in between the upper and lower fork crowns. Addy on the way...

In truckee, in the evening, on the trails, if you stop for a minute there all over exposed skin, so I would bet they are bad near any high elevation lakes.
Like I told my last wife, I never drive faster than I can see, besides it's all in the reflexes.

load of snow in Downieville until about halfway down Butcher. After that, it's a magic carpet ride of tackiness. I love DV in the Fall.

I can't believe I'm asking this mid-January, but how is DV riding right now?

I know that Yuba Expeditions and DV Outfitters have stopped running shuttles for the season, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the DH and other trails are not rideable and perhaps shuttle-able.

I've heard that Downieville Outfitters will shuttle now if you call them... Also heard that Sunrise is pretty snowy but ridable, and on Butcher is kinda snowy (and icy..especially in the mornings!) to the waterfall....then it becomes $$$$$. I'd be tempted to ride up from town at the bottom and climb 1st & 2nd, then see how far up Pauley or Butcher you can get before turning around and descending 3rd.

I hear North Yuba and Halls and Fiddle are riding pretty good now too.

    .
Sure, as long as you return the favor and tow me on the way back down. I need to work on my descending at Dville (obviously if you read back up through this thread).

    Thanks, man!

I'm not sure about riding up though. Funny how one can pretty lose all the cardio one gained during the summer after 2 solid months of sitting on one's ass waiting for it to snow.

This calls for some video cameras!

Butcher's gotten weird since all those reroutes. I'm not sure anyone goes fast on a few of those sections now. It's like a rut with knee high rocks on the sides.

Nice! If Sunrise can be ridden at all, it can't be that bad. When I was last there in early October, Sunrise was in no way possible to "ride."
