Where to do a long road ride in Oregon with lots of climbing?
Looking for a 80-100 mike ride with 7000+ feet of climbing that isn't under snow. I am in Salem and don't mind driving aways. Anyone know if cascade lakes highway / mt bachelor loop is open? Thanks.

i used to love dropping down into independence and climbing back up into town, but i doubt thats gonna cut it for you...
hwy 242 is clear to peds/bikes now, can get an 80mi 7k ride out of that real nicely
