My goal is to get a decent road bike that with a little tlc will be adequate for rides now and then when I'd like something a bit more quick than the Surly 29er single-speed that keeps me from keeping up with friends who have road bikes. A listing on the local Craigslist for a 58cm Klein Quantum (described as a mid 1990's classic) has caught my eye. I know next to nothing about these things, so before I contact the dude I thought I'd ask for help from you all. What questions do I want to ask? What I am looking for? Is $425 a decent price or do I haggle?
