Thread: Parabolic Solar Dishes and Wind Turbines

Hi all,

I am trying to locate companies that sell

a) parabolic solar dishes
(they capture solar power with a parabolic dish, and track the sun)
b) wind turbines
(small for a roof top or garden)
c) wind meter
(the thing that measures the speed of wind, normally seen at the top lift station)

Please reply with links plus your comments.

I live in Switzerland, so the more local for me, the easier.

I live in lower village, on the flatter area, not the slope of the alp. We get some good wind here sometimes, but I am not convinced it is enough to justify windpower. Therefore, I am going to record the wind with the wind-o-meter, or whatever it is called, for a year or so.

Sun is plentiful, so more than likely the way to go.
