TR dream destinations: Moab, Fruita, Morrison
The past 3 weekends have been great. Escaped mud season for consecutive desert camping, then to the city. Biked all over, spent quality time with the lady and dogs, bought new bike parts I shouldn't have, life is good.

On the way to the campsite, up Onion Creek

Solo ride on Slickrock

Beautiful weekend, full trail. But its easy to get around people and ride wherever you want. Plus, everyone was really friendly and happy, because they too were riding Slickrock.

Nice...I wiped out hardcore on Dakota yesterday. First time I almost actually went "over the edge". REALLY need to get me a FS bike again, as the fully rigid 29er on that trail is worse than sitting at home and sticking thumbtacks in my taint.

Excellent TR!
So having never ridden Rabbit Valley... is it entirely the buffness it looks like in the pics? If it is sidewalk-smooth wide singletrack as it looks, I'd be stoked to take the wifey out there. (She loves Rustler's loop over on the Koko side of Fruita.)I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.

Rabbit Valley is excellent and highly recommended for wife/gf rides. We warmed up on 3/4, short, easy, beautiful. Not 100% singletrack, like ATV wide trails, but 100% good fun. Same can be said for 2, which takes you out toward the Western Rim. Next time, definitely riding this one but its a little longer, like 15-20 and there is are lots of trails everywhere so by myself, didn't want to push it.
Powtron - full rigid 29er on Dakota Ridge? To each his own I guess! Dakota Ridge is NOT a good gf/wife trail, I was apologizing the entire ride...
SAHM - I like you a lot, but I think its a little early in the relationship to be tossing out L bombs.

O, and Rabbit Valley has lots of cool free camping. We got buzzed fairly often by dirt bikes, atvs and mtn bikers, but I would recommend it and love to go back. Trail runs (or more like slick rock exploration), bike trails, bouldering, all immediately outside the tent flap.
