    2008 Norco Fluid LT frame

considering buying a used frame of pinkbike, anything negative i should know about it before i pull the trigger?

the shock has been switched to the Monarch 4.2 from the DHX Air3, the seller says its much lighter. which shock would be better for an AM rig that does not compromise pedaling?

the dhx on that frame is a bit too linear. the lt is a good rig.

Nice frame - make sure the rear stays are the non-brake harmonic howling version - ie square as opposed to round stays

I love mine! I have a Monarch 4.2 as a backup - it lost air new and got it warrantied. Now using dhx coil. I shaved the weight off myself not the bike.

i saw your review. great stuff! it's one of the reasons i'm looking at that frame. however i think the one you were on was a newer year (2009?)

so it just gets really loud if they are round?

what do you mean by linear. does it blow through the mid section of its travel too fast?

whoops just saw this. Mine was the first year it was out and was grey not green. I believe that's a LT2 frame. Looks like the round chainstays but that's under warranty. Issue showed up with Avid discs which had these weird harmonics with the frame. Too bad as those were the OE brakes. If you're buying the frame you'll probably be ok and if not - then Norco will replace the stays for you

just to be clear. just an annoying noise or actual vibrations that affect the ride? and warranty still applies on a used secondhand frame?

the lt sits a bit low in its travel and tends to wallow on the midstroke with the higher volume dhx. the monarch still allows full travel when you need it, but pedals a bit better. just my .02.
