Talking Did it suck anywhere this year?

I haven't being paying much attention to the snowfall totals for North America as i've been too busy choking on BC coast range pow but it did suck anywhere this year?

It looks like the rest of BC and Alberta went off as well as CO and UT but what about CA, WY, MT, ID? And the east? actually, who cares the east doesn't count...

I don't think it did suck anywhere this year. 375" at Jay Peak and 332" at Stowe this year for us East coasters.

we had a dry spell in montana for a little bit where every storm would deliver 1/10th of the predicted totals but we had GREAT coverage all year long and early and late season we were drowning in pow.

May want to clarify the "southern" part of CO as Red Mtn pass has the second snowiest season on record according to CAIC. South and west of Red not so hot this season, east of Silverton was super dry, but Red Mtn and Cement creek did very well. Microclimates help make the San Juans so special...

Really typical la nina with the northside of San Juans getting good snow like usual. What was very odd was in AK which caught up at the end of the season but was low tide most of the year through March.

Same with the rest of the PNW. Average temps were lower in April than they were in January and February.

The east counts, and it was awesome this year. Huge totals all over the place, and we've still even got lift served this weekend!

Well - the Alps sucked major donkey balls with a very dry winter and an unusually short season across the board

The season in the East was unusual in that there weren't any major thaws or r**n events (after December) and an unseasonably cold March pushed back the end of the season by a month.

No. The little bitch delivered like everyone said she would. She just did us all on her terms.

tough to put the words, "skiing", and, "suck", together.

vermont did well, high george is a good 6 feet below average snowfall for the season, but somehow, as always, absolutely did not suck, and still doesn't, nor will it for the next 4-6+ weeks. so many options, so little skier traffic.

nice getting some tours in with ya rob! how bout getting after it in o-head pow via the worlds worst cat skiing? or, farming the sandbox in feb:

    or yesterday:

fun stuff, per usual, SKI THE EAST.

    great everywhere this year......................

    Yep, SW CO and Taos.

If you want to mountain bike in the high country of Colorado in June, hit up Telluride or Durango outskirts, because they will be rideable. while most of CB/Aspen then Vail/Summit, won't be good until early July and mid-July, respectively*.

    *That's my best guess.

AK for sure. Shitty snowfall from Jan - Apr, and more often than not sketchy avy conditions. What we got at the end of the season was heavy & wet.

We've won it. It's going to get better now. You can sort of tell these things.
