Eagle, CO where to ride this weekend?
So, whats dry over there? I don't know my way around at all, so where should I park, hit a TH? Might have my girl with me for her first MTB experience, so easier is better, flow is good. Thanks!

Try this one out for your first time and since you're bringing your GF. It's pretty easy to get lost at the other trailheads.

Ride up bellyache road or the boneyard singletrack. You can come down Race Course or the Ice Rink trail. or down Boneyard. There should be a map at the TH.

Why not drive a little further to Fruita? or just go skiing?

I'm probably going to end up snowboarding. I just wanted to escape the snow for a day. Its nuking in Breck at the moment, so A-basin should be good tomorrow at least.

Bumping an old thread to see what the trails are like out there. It looks like some weather might be coming in but I have the next two days off and want to ride. The small amount of trails that have opened in summit are all under new snow or muddy now.

All of Eagle is riding nice. The upper trails opened last Sunday so you should have a bunch of choices. If I had a few hours I would Climb Abrahm's Ridge, do some playing up top (Itch, Scratch...) and then make my way down World's Greatest. The conditions should be perfect but they won't stay that way for long with this lack of moisture.

thanks for the head's up. Eagle sounds like where I may go tomorrow depending on the weather. Which trailhead is best for starting the loop you mention? what kind of mileage is it?

Open Eagle-Gypsum Mountain Bike Trails and you'll see the whole map. I would park at the Eagle Pavilion on Capitol and ride past the movie theater and head toward the Elementary School, catch the bike path south and you'll run into the Abrahms trailhead on your right at about 3/4mi Once you're on AR just keep heading west (climbing) until you reach the double track at the top. From there you have choices.あなたのおっぱいは富士山のように美しいです。富士

Great link DaHeel, I have ridden most of those trails but pretty cool to see them laid out in printable form. I finally got off my ass last night for the first ride of the season. Felt really good to be back on the bike. I rode up the Beav and Allie's is dry up the top of the kids gondola. Stoked for a lot of riding this summer.

Headed out to Eagle this morning. Thinking of doing the Maze area, then heading over to Boneyard. Never been, bringing intermediate wife, so hoping to find fun rolling, less tech stuff.
