Thread: VAIL G.N.A.R. DAY 2011 !

It's happening - THE game of G.N.A.R.is coming to Vail.

Tomorrow, Saturday April 23rd:

Prepare to get rad & claim it. Just don't get poached.

The game has been re-worked for our fat & flat beauty of a hill. Though it may not be as rocky or steep, there is still plenty to jump off. And plenty of bystanders who should know about how rad we all are.

If you already know about the game - then you have an idea what's in store. Everyone else should head over to www.unofficialnetworks.com/GNAR and watch a movie that was made last year because you live in a cave JONG

Here's the .pdf - read it over and print it out if you'd like (..or can, 2-sided).

Otherwise, look around the base areas, taped to garbage cans perhaps, for packets of score sheets that will be pre-printed. 600 sheets are printed and they will go fast.

ALL YOU NEED TO BRING IS A PEN

Most of the Extra Credit points are straight out of the book. We changed some of the Squaw-specific rules to be Vail-specific, and we tried to be true to the game while doing so. We also tried to make the line worths as simple to add as possible, so SQUALLYWOOD die-hards should not be insulted that Prima Cornice is worth more than Schmidiots. It's just that the zeros make your score look cool.er.

So look over the score sheet - study it - and don't be surprised when someone tells you that they're better than you.

P.S. Spread the word to your ski buddies - AND BRING YOUR PEN!

Only thing that I would change is that the gondola BJ should be once / year / woman giving the BJ. If you can manage to get multiple from multiple women, you deserve the points.

That was great! I never won such a fun game before! I'd like to thank the two girls in the gondi for the double BJ, that was fun, sorry I did not get your names, PM me here if you want to hook up again.

Oh, and to the two snowboard cops, when I called you out and lured you into the flats in snag park I did not mean what I said about ALL snowboarders, just you two punters.

You guys are all really good sports, I will buy next years pass, give some of the winnings to charity and snort up the rest!

Go out and do dangerous irresponsible stuff and be sure to offend everyone you can. AND, if everyone is naked at the same time it would be much more difficult to catch you all. The odds of getting away with it are better if you have multiple instances of nudity at the same time. Just saying.

this thread: -1000 GNAR points without photos or video

WOW what a weekend! Just recovering now from all the partying.

G.N.A.R. Day was a huge success. At the end of the day there were only about 75 of the 600 score sheets remaining. Our group of 15 +/- came across several other groups going after points on the hill. Later in the bar there was a lot of talk about the score sheets, and a lot of people who played without ever hearing of the game before.




Peeing mid-line:


We also found out who our monoskiing equivalent is to Lee Dooby - a guy named Tucker Brown who almost won a Tea Cup>Marmot Gully race against one of the fastest skiers I know. Sooo FKNA classic!

There were also multiple Gondi BJs which really set apart the top competitors from the rest of the pack. We decided both parties in the GH should be awarded points.


1st - Eric G. 38,650
2nd - Rob G. 34,400
3rd - Colleen W. 32,250

The cool thing was how close the points were between people who weren't the top skiers versus the top skiers who were tricking the lines (and paying the occasional price in penalties).




Jade Glade with the diehards ~ After 3 (50) + Pole Whacker (200) + Talk Smack (200) + Jade Glade w/ cornice huck (500) + 360 (500) = 1450 points:


In the end, 1st chair was the difference maker. 2nd chair just a'int good enough to be a champion.

There were a few GoPros in the group, so there may be a video on the way. Otherwise it was too much fun and far too spontaneous to be taking tons of photos. I do hope someone got my Backflip-Crotch Grap on record (600). Yeah, thats right, I'm waaay better than you.


P.S. RaccoonFace: all the Extra Credit points are straight out of the book. The Lagger (200) ended up being some good pity-points for our slower counterparts.
