No, I like it jumping for our jump/flow trails like Arcylon but the high seat tube makes it a bit uncomfortable for me on tighter, lippier DJs. I'm sure it'd do awesome at I Street but I've mostly been riding my Demo up there. If I were to completely slam the post down it'd be great but I'm too lazy to pull out an allen key

Back in my day, the big middle line was the Style Jump. I also wore an onion on my belt...which was the style of the time.

style is just style, kind of just a variant from left i guess. anyone have a name for the farthest right line (even farther right than style)? there's a nice 4 pack or you can transfer from the second one back into style which is way fun.

Yeah Style was always just that one big jump; still there. I've never heard a name for the far right line. It's always only been marginally rideable, but is now looking pretty good... I'm going to have to hit that sooner than later.

it's way fun and way more mellow than style, that double shouldn't have a problem!

If the weather cooperates, there may be some other rad shit to shred too (Road to Arcylon, some tacky buff and fun stuff in Draper).

The line to the way right was the original rhythm line. While it was running, it was a nice, tight little line that led around behind the Style. Then somebody chopped the first two or three doubles and made it one big one. At that point, people started referring to it as the 4X line. The first jump required mach looney, but the speed made the rest of the line a little weird. Eventually, the rest of the jumps got "reworked". In typical I Street style, the work was started then abandoned.

If there was a reliable water source (besides the massive water tank), that place would be unstoppable.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

word, it kind of works now but like you said it's definitely weird. transferring back into style from the second lip is rad though, only made it work a couple times.

otter started a facebook community page for I Street - hoping it can be a resource for vids, photos, and basically showing The Man that it's not a sandbox for little kids. And just be a place to stoke out on I Street.

It was riding prime last weekend, Dec 10-11. Not sure about this frosty pollution crap this week, but might have to try it out this weekend.

    Definitely still flannel season.

With regards to otter's page, is I street getting threatened or something?

It's a bit unclear. A couple of WAFTA guys have been in talks with the water company since last spring, who recently bought up a lot of the land on/adjacent to I Street, as well as with the city. Apparently they want to put another big water tank in up there eventually. Short answer, yes I think there is a threat... but there is also good hope of preservation. Sorry I don't have more specific info.

You should work with them to turn the water tank into a feature. Win-win.

What a great idea. So many desert built riding spots could benefit from a regular water supply. I bet you guys could drill that spigot tap in no time!

That would be stoker. There is actually some sort of drain that leaks out water from the big main tank that's already there, which is handy for working on the jumps actually. Kinda gross though.

Some lines are more legit on a DH bike than others, but 99% of them can be done on a DH bike just fine. The main Flow line is totally DH friendly. And all the lines there go downhill in some respect so maintaining speed just takes a few pedal strokes.

I have been loving my new Transition Double up there though. After riding I Street mostly on my DH bike, I overshot everything my first few sessions up there with the Double.

Have access to two 50 gallon plastic barrells. Can they be used for water collection? Where would be the best spots to put them? Need some thinking types rig up a watering system

Not sure about water barrels, I think less stuff up there the better at this point. Although it was getting sandy this weekend. In January.

Huge turnout all weekend and prime riding conditions.

AND I got through one of the two big scary jumps at the bottom of Rhythm/Buckaroo, stokered!

In other news, Corner Canyon trails are money right now. We rode up Clarks and it had one muddy spot totalling ~30 yards long. Rode down Canyon Hollow trail and it was the tits. Either dry or frozen all the way down its whoopy goodness. Upon leaving the trailhead, we discovered a fantastic looking flow DJ line-park (green, blue and a black run) with a great looking pump track. Might just have to go out there tomorrow to check things out.

If not, Istreet looks like the place to be. Its May right?

Go to the top of I street in the Avenues. Pull off at the water tower parking lot, right after the church. Right when the trail starts, there is an option to go left around the water tower. Then you're there. Enjoy.
All I know is that I don't know nothin'... and that's fine.
