Brutal theft in Whistler

I just got my splitboard stolen on Whistler Mountain last Sunday. Among the lamest deed I can think of, taking off with someone's else gear comes first on the podium.
So I just want to alert as many people as I can to 1. Watch out for your stuff if you are not doing it already. A lock is not paranoia (which I thought before)
and 2. If somebody is lucky enough to come across my board, please let me know.
My board is a Khyber 156cm by Prior with a Black and camel Haida Top sheet.

You really have to keep an eye on your shit at both the begining and end of the season when all the transients are lurking about with no paycheck. Stuff disappears en masse in both Oct and May, so either don't let it out of your sight or lock it up.

Oh that sucks! When I got my prior husumes at the start of the season, a ski key was the first thing I bought after. I figure it makes my skis less of an easy target to be taken. Unfortunately with a board you can't separate them like skis either.

But yeah, i've been using a ski key for a few years now. It's pretty much a necessity with the citiots that come up here on the weekend.

It is funny because all of a sudden (to me) everyone always locks their gear, all the time and have always been doing so since the beginning of time. But the proportion of gear which is actually locked in in the resort (at least since last year) is in the range of 10%.

I will definitely consider the suggested revenge methods. I was originally more thinking about castration if male. I haven't thought about the female strategy though. But the legs breaking seems a radical way, no snowboarding for a while. I like that.

My buddy got his brand new setup stolen mid mountain on Blackcomb back in 2007, first day of the trip...big bummer to say the least
