I know there's a ton of Tacoma owners on here..anyone running something pre 95? Wondering how much you guys think this truck's really worth?

Without seeing it, $2500-$3000, max. And that may be pushing it. Although the older Toyota trucks hold their value. Do comps on Craigslist to get an idea of whether or not this truck is fairly priced.
Rebuilt top end is great, but entire engine rebuild is preferable.
It's also not a Tacoma.¡Órale, vato!

That guy's smoking crack if he thinks his truck's worth THAT much, let alone being 19 years old with nearly 300,000 miles on it. Some people are so out of touch with market value. I've called people out on it before when trying to get them to come down on price, but they'll retort with crap like "But it's a Toyota." Toyotas may be great and all, but they're still not worth THAT much of a premium.

No more than $3K. What exactly is their 'top-end' work include? Why did they decide to rebuild the top end? What kind of shape is the rest of the block in?
Here is my take. I bought nearly that exact same truck from my friend last fall for just under $3k. It is a'91, same engine, transmission and same mileage. Heck even the previous owner (before my friend) claimed that he had re-built the top end.
Well 8K miles later the engine was on its way out. Bad compression in two cylinders, due to cracked and warpped valves. Whats interesting is that they are advertising work done on the engine by not themselves...I would check to see if the engine work was done by the previous owner or a shop.
Anyway, my advice. Its only worth a couple thousand. I retract my first statement, no more than $2500 out the door. Come at them with cash and Kelley Blue book. If you have any other questions feel free. I got to know my truck pretty well:

The topper is worth more than the truck.
