    Talking Tribute to my Dad

My Dad turns 70 today. He continues to live a vibrant and accomplished life. Has close to 30 patents to his name, made my gorgeous dining room table, and has gone faster in a vehicle he built than anyone I know.

So he has just about everything he could ask for...so what to get him for 70th. I racked my brain, and then came up with something simple but with timeless impact - http://charleshevenor.com

    ^thanks to a wonderful father.

Weak. Building a website as a present is the geek version of baking brownies. Get a job loozer.

Does he like red wine? Go to klwines.com and their library section for mature bordeauxs. Usually Parker rated, so you can get a good deal. Buy one, take him to dinner and share

EDIT: didn't read the whole thing, thought you were asking for suggestions. Even better than the vino

    I'm sure he loved it!

Many happy returns of the day to your Pop. Sounds like one of those people who make you smile when you meet them - Woodsy's dad is too. The world needs guys like that to stick around.

Have you given him any grandchildren? According to my folks that is the payoff for a life well spent.

the payoff to a life well spent is a ton of cool toys to go along with the vacation home.

a hug and an i love go a long way, but nothing beats a new big flat screen tv.

    Nicely done.
Your dad did some "modeling" work to pay his way through school?

Well the website was a huge success. Thanks for all the compliments, a highly recommended gift idea if you have some basic web skills.

It's weird to think about my Dad as being 70. He's still in sharp as ever and just so on top of car trends and technology that you'd never guess his age

Grandkids are certainly in the 5-year plan but my brother just had an adorable little girl. Wifey wants to travel more so were waiting a few more years, and I know now with the neice how huge a reward that is for my folks.

Good stuff! Old man hits 75 next year, may have to consider stealing your idea. Same thing too, way younger than his years, still works 3/4 time except for summer...

Nicely done, Chuck sounds like a great guy. Kind of guy who makes you feel good when he walks in the door and who you would do anything for, for one because he would do the same.

Nice idea and present. He looks like a serious craftsman.... I'm working on a similar resume, but have a ways to go!
