Marker Jester Brake pushing a 110mm to 125mm possible?
Hey fellows,
just bought news skis and im switching binders from one pair to other.
the news skis are 125mm underfoot and all i got is a 110mm brake.
Do you think is possible to bend it and pushit to 125mm? or i'm going to have to get a new set of brakes??
thanks

110mm Duke brakes (same as the Jester) wouldn't stretch to 120mm waist ski when I tried them, they seem pretty hard to bend.

I've got 110 brakes on my 120s with no issues. They can definitely be bent to 125 if you know how to do it. I'm pretty sure there is a brake-bending thread you could search for that will have instructions. Or just have a competent shop do the bending.

110 Duke brakes fit on my 122 waisted Renegades with a bit of stretching. The skis don't click together perfectly but the brakes function fine. 125 should be doable.

Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

You can bend them and/or sand down some of the plastic on the inside of the brake. Easiest way to bend them is with a short piece of metal pipe.. Press the brake down with your hand, put the piece of pipe on the en of the brake arm and pull towards you... If you sand down the inside of the little plastic piece a the end of the brake arm just don't sand all the way through to the metal cause that plastic piece could fall off... A lot of times you can get the width you need just by sanding and not having to bend them.

I bent my 110mm baron brakes to fit over 132mm hellbents. It's possible if you're okay with somewhat short brakes...

Wait people were able to bend these? How? I call bullshit. I tried for over two hours. Even torched the metal to try and heat up the bend. At least the brakes that came standard on my jesters were close to impossible to bend..........
And YES i found the brake bending thread.

Honestly, I bent mine in 10 mins for both for a 130mm ski, vice grips in vice, brake in vice grips above bend, tube over brake, bend, measure, bend, measure, done.
