    Kenesio Tape

Anyone have any experience with Rock Tape or other Kenesio Tape? Is it worth 20 bucks a role? I'm still battling an MCL injury and I'm wondering if it would help with support, pain and/or healing.

The only time I used it was for patellar tendonitis. My PT used it to try to pressure my kneecap into another tracking line. What a crock of shit. Try to hold your kneecap to the side when you flex your quads. There is no way it gives enough support to resist that force. Your usage might be different, but do not expect miracles from tape. I would use regular white athletic tape.

in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing K-tape can be very useful. But for taping an MCL I would not really go with that method for skiing. You would be better off with a hinged brace and use the K-tape for daily use just while you walk around.

For you to just buy a roll and slap some on, I wouldn't expect you to see much in the way of positive results.

I've had my wife ( physical therapist) apply it to my lower back, shoulder tendinitis, and even a jammed thumb. It certainly helped provide extra support for both my back and shoulder. She took a class on applying it correctly and she cuts it into crazy shapes depending onnthe injury. Can't imagine it working great on a knee injury, also probably won't be a big benefit applied on your own.
