Engelberg was very nice despite the wind today and the two hours of sun yesterday (which meant most of the ordinary stuff was tracked ).
rock contact was mitigated by the 30cm of fresh ( on an acceptable base).
Yesterday was even funner because we were aloner at another more treeish place. keep your fingers crossed for the bag of st. nicholas. The weather models are still debating whether he'll have a gift from Ullr or not.

Get your meteorlogical shit together, Euros! I land in Rome in 2 weeks and I cannot spend an entire month with my mistress! Even if she brings her slightly less attractive but slightly more promiscuous sister.

Looks like you had better luck than me at Axamer today Klar & Freak; the people I was with wanted to stay onpiste

Luckily there was at least some nice snow off the sides, though it was pretty sharky.

Then we got stuck when the chairlift broke

Thursday was nice up there though:

    Until I found another shark

Earlier in the week was nice at Westendorf too

Excellent. I shall be in The Eternal City, awaiting a mission like Captain Willard.

Well, that and trying to figure out how to bring a prostitute down into the catacombs. Not the Jewish catacombs though - I am not an anti-Semite!

Snow across Bayern but not much of it and a howling wind to go with it. I imagine there will be little confusion this weekend as to which slopes are wind loaded. They'll be the ones which still have snow on them.

Anyone here know Trois Vallees extremely well? I'm looking for a little bit of help on a trip next week. I'd love to sit down with a map. I'm not looking for back country so much as I am help charting out where things are and how long it takes to get from point to point. Merci!

    Resort was really quiet.

Took a trip over to Chamonix to visit a friend before heading back home to Scotland.
Slick and polished on the piste but soft snow easily found to the sides.
    Not bad for early December!
