Col des Mosses to Aigle road is closed Sunday 11h30 to 17h00 for TdF.
I imagine road from Martigny to up will be closed from about 12h30 til last rider.
Le Sepey will be a downhill zoom. Verbier might present some excitement.
But there are plenty of climbs left in the last week. The Tuesday following, and Ventoux...ouch.
As for the broken wrist, here is what I suggest:

The italian side got some snow above 2000m. even lower from place to place. Stelvio got a good 30cm of pow.

as for the TdF..... amazing how relaxed and sweatless contador was at the arrival...
sorry for not having been on touch with joe strummer, rungsp and others, I had the whole big family at home to see the TdF so the logistic was truly cumbersome....

haha. jen and friends spent 7+ hours on trains and standing to see them zip by in one minute in gruyeres. she said it happened so fast that she didn't even see lance. she didn't realize it but she did snap a pic of him in the peloton.
i enjoyed watching from home on a big plasma tv.

Hintertux
I went up to Hintertux on Saturday and had a decent time. Some crazy thunderstorms came through Friday night where we were camping near Mayrhofen and drenched us with rain but left some decent snow above 2750 meters or so. There was some untracked to be found if you ducked a few ropes or went off-piste, but nothing spectacular. I was more up there to test out my knee to see how it was feeling after 4 or so months of rest. In the untracked I didn't feel much pain. On-piste, however, I could barely stand the pain, anticipating each jolt as I turned in the slushed-up snow. After three hours of skiing I could barely walk for the rest of the day. Flat ground was okay, but going up or down hill was extremely painful. I had my knee buckle on me twice while walking my dog amongst the rocks by the Tuxer Fernhaus. Back to the orthopedist next week.....
My DSLR was in the shop getting cleaned but I did purchase a Canon Powershot G10 and took it along. I'm still working through most of the pictures, but here's one I'd been meaning to get for the past 3 years:

Klar,
it was open but not in the greatest of shape. Not a ton of people over there either, but there were some guys having some fun and throwing some decent tricks. Here are a couple taken from the Gefrorene Wand area:

Some freshies in the new snow. Surprisngly, pretty easy to ski and not bad at all - for July

I just wish I would have taken my Apache Outlaws or even my Seth's up instead of the Apache Crossfires. It would have been much better playing in the slop on fatter skis and would have also been a lot easier on my knee. Oh well, unless otherwise told from my doc, I'll be back down there in a few weeks for more camping and summer skiing.
(I've got much, much larger versions of the above if you'd like to see those)

Oh yeah, anyone know who this Austrian MTV VJ is? She was interviewing some random people at the Tuxer Fernerhaus and they came over and filmed us for a while. I don't have access to any MTV stations (thankfully) and was just curious. I don't have any pictures of her face, just her back and ass.

Hey everyone. I should land in Geneva on Sunday night 30 Aug for business, and I was wondering whether to change the ticket for a Fri night flight and head to the mountains for some trekking and photography.
Any of the Swiss mags planning a weekend mountain hike on those dates? If not, any recommendations for something I can do on my own? (assuming I get the right maps and I'm reasonably well equipped, but not for climbing). You really need to stop knowing WTF you're talking about. (Tippster)
