Denver Olympics? Old poster, need info.
So I was cleaning out this very old closet with all these old photos and paintings that the previous owner to my condo had and I came accross this silkscreen original "limited edition" print that's signed by the artis, Van Alstyne. It's a poster of the 1976 Denver Winter Olympics, obviously from a bid effort. It's faded with a couple of small water spots, but pretty cool.
Anyone know what something like this would be worth? Not sure if I'll look to sell it as it's pretty cool, just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or the Denver bid for the winter games.
It's sideways so just rotate your computer to the left (counter clockwise)

Don't know about this one since the olympics were never held in Denver. Might be worth more for that reason for all I know. www.olympic.org tells this story:
"The 1976 Winter Olympics were awarded to the U.S. city of Denver, but the people of the state of Colorado voted to prohibit public funds from being used to support the Games. Innsbruck stepped in and hosted the Games only 12 years after its last Olympics."You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

Look on eBay. Chances are one like it has sold recently. Check the completed items listings and maybe you can find out what something like this would go for.

According to vol. II of Kelsner's Wasatch Touring Guide the Denver bid committee featured a photo of Mt. Superior on the cover of it's bid packet.

I'm thinking, if you're not hard up for $$$ , keep it. The older it gets, the more it will be worth. I owned a few charcoals by Louis Icart that I sold a few years backfor $500.. Today they are worth like $9000.

PS,
get it appraised, give it to Friends of Berthoud Pass, get a reciept, they auction it off at an event, you get a decent tax write off for found goods & a good cause gets needed $$.
Y FOB?
I think FOB would get a higher auction price than locally, and its a cause you would normally suport.

True. Plus I'm sure that Brownian motion would come into play as things heat up.
