    Mountain Shadows?

Please remind me, is it Mountain Shadows Condo's that seem to be Maggot Central? You know? Hot-Tub-Condo-Nazi and Shot-Ski's?

Cinders & Me (and Sinecure...?) are looking for somewhere to stay Thurs Night through Sun Night. Please chime in with any suggestions or hook-ups. Or PM if that works.
    We Thank You.

But, that goes down to $43 if you bought into the 3 day deal, or even less if you have a freshly minted MVP pass...you did say a couple of hours...

The last time we were at 178% at April 1, they didn't get Tioga open until June 30!!!!
We just had to do a few road crossing, which kind of sucks. Remove skis, down climb an 8' bank, climb back up.

If the road is not plowed, I still suggest our route. Drive along the lake as far as you can and park near the campground entrance. It will allow you to climb a bit steeper pitch, save a mile of flats and ski easily back to the car after descending the waterfall.

    I regret to inform...

That although I was looking forward to meeting many of you, I will most likely be missing this year's mini. I have quit my lazy desk job that has alllowed me to be such an active non-stoke-contributing member and weekend warrior, and will be reporting to the Tahoe Hotshots to have my ass kicked through the rest of fire season, May 10th.

Hope you guys have a great time, and Ullr blesses you with a massive may mammoth dump, then clears to bluebird.

Anyone have room for one passenger from Mammoth to any Bay area BART station that Sunday afternoon or Monday morning? Can help with gas money.

Also interested in some buy get one passes.

406, We might have room in my rig. Not sure yet though. I'll have Turx & Cinders, plus gear. And I think we're not coming back until Monday. But if you're stuck, I'm sure we can squeeze you in - or bungee you to the roof rack.

I guess I'm out, MRI results today confirmed a complete ACL tear in my 'good' knee. Scheduling the MRI on my other knee just for kicks and to confirm that I probably need 2 ACL surgeries. fark

Have fun at the Mini everyone, sorry I have to flake.

Wow, that sucks...maybe you aren't a pussy after all

I see the sturgeon on Tuesday to see if I need surgery for a meniscal tear. It shouldn't prevent me from attending the mini though.

That confirms I'm a puss, your skiing and I'm pussing out. What bait did you use to find your Sturgeon?

A blown ACL is a much bigger drag, especially two.

I don't know this guy, but he comes highly recommended by a physian friend who had him scope her knees a couple times. I'll let you know what I think of him if you are interested.

Ah, young grasshopper, there is more to the Mini than (just) skiing (and Riding).
Some have been known to spend their whole time at "the Beach"...

Campsite? I'm guess Fort FKNA on the (un)scenic (non)loop is under snow. People planning to camp at that spot by 395?

Anyone been out on the "scenic loop" road recently? Totally snow-covered, or accessible for camping?
