So the Wall Street Journal doesn't know what it is talking about?

I like how liberal programs NEVER have to show they work but Gov walker gets 6 months to make WI the best state in the union or he's a failure.

At least hold his government to the same standard you have for liberal government programs.

You are still defending the Dept of Education after 40 YEARS of failure. At least give Freedom 4 years to kick in.

You quoted an article from the opinion section. They don't fact check opinion pieces. Almost no paper does. Here are the rules:

Op-Ed Guidelines for The Wall Street Journal

If you would like to submit an article for consideration, it must be exclusive to the Journal. Your article should be a strong argument about an issue in the news. And it should not be a response to a Journal article; that is a letter to the editor. For an idea of what we are looking for, read the Journal's editorial page on a regular basis.

We prefer that the submission be between 600 to 1,200 jargon-free words, submitted as the body of an email rather than an attachment. A cover note giving a brief summary of your article should be included along with the author's day and evening phone numbers.

We will contact authors on timely articles that are of interest to us as soon as possible. Otherwise, due to the large volume of submissions, for articles that we are not able to use, we will respond within 10 business days. Again, due to the large volume of submissions, please do not call to confirm receipt or check for a status until 10 business days have elapsed.

All op-eds should be directed to the Editorial Features Editor, Robert Pollock, at edit.features@wsj.com. If you are responding to an article that has appeared in the Journal, please send your comments to Timothy Lemmer, the letters editor, at wsj.ltrs@wsj.com.

Thank you for your cooperation and thank you for your interest in the Journal.

    Cordially,
    Robert Pollock
    Editorial Features Editor
    The Wall Street Journal
Like most every opinion section, the WSJ Opinion section is garbage. It always has been. The rest of the paper used to be fucking stellar; unfortunately, Fox fucked that up too. This is coming from someone who has subscribed to the Journal for over 15 years. I used to read it religiously until it went downhill. That just my opinion though...

What do you need me to explain? Gov. Walker took office January 2011. His budget didn't go into effect until July 2011. WI lost jobs every month since Gov. Walker's budget went into effect with no month of job losses more prominent than between October and November, which is about 2 months after hundreds of thousands of middle class households had their wages cut.

So - I suppose now that small game season is over you're gonna be swooping in here and crying non-stop. At least until the next Harry Potter movie comes out.

We get it Grange - Walker is responsible for everything wrong in your world. I'll bet he even keeps you from skiing. You can scream SHAME SHAME SHAME!!! all you want - the reality of the matter is that he will survive the recall and all we'll have to show for it is 17 million dollars down the drain and midsummer riots in the twin shitholes of Madison and Milwaukee.

10 to 1 - take it or leave it.

Seriously? You're going after me for posting on here. Hey Jer bear you are the king whiner on this forum and post 10 times more than I do.

Hunting has one more day, but the close of the season won't stop me from get out with the dogs. I've got six dogs with me this week and will go out and train with all six later this week.

Wow. Sounds like a blast. No - really.

Have you skied yet? Might wanna get out to Rib, 'cause it might all be gone pretty soon.

10 to 1 are pretty sweet odds. When Walker wins you only owe me $5, if the portal to the 7th dimension opens and whoever you dingbats put up against Walker wins I have to pay you $50. Oh - that's right - you can't even afford a measly $5 since Walker took your golden calf.

I was up by Pine Mountain earlier today. Snow totals are really down in the area. I stopped at my cottage on the way back and could drive up the driveway, which under normal conditions is damn near impossible this time of year.

I would only bet if I was very confident Gov. Walker will lose. Right now I don't have that confidence.

    It's 10 to 1 - you don't need confidence!

Wait - you can afford to keep a yuppiemansion and a cottage while Darth Walker is raping the citizens of Wisconsistan? How is that possible?

Jer unlike you I don't welch on my bets.

As far as my cottage goes you should grab a tissue to dab at you eyes when you start whine because it is a damn nice cottage. You can look at some of the Fall Days Afield thread if you don't feel like you're whining enough because I'm sure I've got a picture or two of the inside. At a risk of having you blow through the tissue it was union built and union paid for. My family built it from the footings up.

Now I admit my cottage isn't quite as big as my yuppiemansion, but hey it's not like I always had non union wages.

How can you welch on a bet you don't make?

You're all for a useless recall election that will cost taxpayers $17 million +, yet you refuse to put up $5 of your own money? There is no way you are Walker, Koch or a conservative operative - you just can't fake liberalism like that!

I guess the Wall Street Journal doesn't know what it's talking about because what I wrote is true.

Gov. Walker was the guy that called a Press conference to tout job numbers he supposedly created (though his budget still hadn't gone into effect) based on the monthly jobs report when he was in office for less than 6 months. Then when those same month monthly job reports showed WI lead the nation in job losses (after his budget went into effect) Gov. Walker claims the numbers are unreliable. It's the same with WI's deficit. Gov. Walker puts out commercials with him telling WI he balanced the budget while at the same damn time his Administration sends a letter to the Federal Govt. stating WI will have a $3.2 billion deficit. Gov. Walker loves to try and have his cake and eat it too. The problem is his cake is made of bullshit.

Try some Puffs. They are supposed to strong. I'm no more for a recall election than you were last year. Why don't you try to work out some of your frustration and go to a Support Gov. Walker Office and help verify the signatures. With a million plus signatures I'm sure they could use the help.

Yet another facet of useless Wisconsistan politics. I know a few guys who are really into the whole verify thing. I'd rather slam my finger in my truck door again.

Possibly. Spring is pretty busy for me with dog trialing, but I wouldn't mind trying to catch some steehead. I haven't gone fly fishing in more than 5 years. I'm not even sure where my fly rod is. I have better luck with spinners for trout so I prefer using my spinning rod. I used to love fly fishing for bluegill and bass on a calm evenings.

If you wanna have a blast catching smallmouth and are out of practice with a flyrod, go to the fly-only section of the Peshtigo from mid-June on. Tie on a #4 or #6 brown or green Wooly. With any luck you'll catch quite a few and it's a cool setting. You might even luck out and find a big-ass brown hiding in one of the deeper holes.

I've missed the steelhead run for the past four years. Hitting it was one of my New Year's resolutions.

Almost forgot - spinning gear is for hacks. You probably use worms too. I fart in your general direction you silly kaa-nigit!

I am familiar with the Peshtigo River. I fish on it quite a bit. It's not the best for brookies as it gets too warm in the summer. Browns are OK, but I prefer native trout. Smallmouth bass in the Peshtigo is a blast and if you know where to go you can find northerns bigger than a hammer handle.

I don't use worms though I have nothing against those that do.

A few years back (during the Summer Of O) I happened upon this pool and I pulled huge smallmouth after huge smallmouth* out for about an hour and a half. I finnaly got tired of fighting fish and quit. I've been looking for that pool ever since and can't seem to locate it. I think it was somewhere around that huge gorge that you pretty much have to rappel into, although it may very well have been some weird pipe-dream.

Goddam! Nice fish. Is that the Root? Furthest south I've ever fished was Manitowoc/Shoto.I was thinking of going on a steelhead safari to some obscure tribs in Door Co, but I may take you upon that offer.

    I'm going with...

WI business can not take advantage of the benefits of Walkers budget because they fear everything being undone by the recalls. AGAIN, the left injects uncertainty so that the market is paralized.
