dalbello krypton crosses with pro id liner and b flex tounge. Raichele flexon w/ red race tounge with powerwraps and booster strap. my 2 favorite boots of all time and if you have a low volume foot like mine i recomend buying a pair of kryp's or full tilts, imo most natural feeling stiff boot i have ever been in.

I don't know where you live, but if live in Utah go to The Sports Loft. 4678 so. Highland Dr. SLC. Best boot fitter in Utah IMO. Ask for Earl(the old man), he's been a boot fitter for I think like 30 years. I'll tell you right now they're not cheap but worth it.

What do the daleboots cost?

Your never gonna find an alpine boot that feels like a tele boot.

Something that I've had luck with over the years is to find shops that do a lot of fitting of plug boots for racers. They are more accustomed to getting a good 'performance' fit in boots that hardly ever fit the wearer well out of the box. They are also less likely to start with a boot that is too large or too soft just to make their lives easier. Ask any local racers where they get their boots to find a shop that does this kind of work. Some travel may be required.

^^^^^ This isn't an answer to OP question, but probably a more realistic one to his actual problem. I agree. Try on some current shells at a good fitter with plug experience. You might start with Full Tilt or Dalbello cabrio design, since the three pieces allow for a bit more adjustment.

Also, Fischer is coming out next year with a "vacuum" boot that is entirely moldable to the foot, and has variable tightness and forward lean depending on your tastes.

Then, after the appropriate grinding, teaking, and maybe some stretching, one word: Intuition. You'll end up with a custom fit, just not from a one-of shell.

My feet, cuz of their volume, are in between shell-sizes. Use Dynafit's Zzero TF High liner = thin & stiff with downhill tongue transplant...
Great fit & perf.......that's all that matters.

There are 5 words that spring to mind when i think of intuition; packed out piece of garbage...

Old thread back to life on account of my semi comfortable lange superblaster being out for warranty work - but they can't be fixed so lange is supposed to replace with a new pair next year... And I'm considering reselling and just getting a new boot when that happens.

I'm intrigued by the custom concept since I've got one foot that's an EE width with a 25.5 and the other as a 26.5 E width. Pretty much every boot I've been in has been a compromise to try and get a performance fit while being able to not unbuckle every lift ride or have death blisters from heel lift in a tour. Maybe full custom is my solution?

Looks like the daleboot now has a walk mode... Anyone tour in it? How's the range of motion? The vff pro claims to be stiffer - how's it compare to a lange 120 flex? Other beta?
