good weekend finally had enough snow to hit a regular classic.

We do not have much snow. Thankfully what we do have is bomber. here's a few from today in Queen's chair.
hot in the sun, could make a snowball with the top inch.
too deep for short guys
still a little early
had hoped to hit the ridge and get onto those little spines.Obviously this was the end of the line
Eyak Lake looking out to Hinchinbrook
forgot to put the sd card back in the camera so ran out of memory for the skiing. here is a screen grab from Ben's POV, He think's its a good shot

Beautiful. How long does it take to summit that peak? Car to car time? It looks like hollywood heli stuff, I would love to be able to tour there.

It takes about 3.5 hrs to summit the first peak. It is only 3150' tall. However you start at sea level. Fortunately 2000' of vertical is on that face so it gives a fairly long line which we lack around here. We park about a mile and half from our house. Needless to say we don't get up at 5AM.

The helmet cam is an Oregon Scientific. His brother just bought it for his birthday. Has not had a lot of use yet. The clip that holds it broke so we had to back it up with the Voile strap.off your knees Louie

3.5 hours for that is unreal
I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.
People who don't think the Earth is flat haven't skied Vail.
