    Hammerhead binding problem

I have hammerheads on my BD Killowatts. I am having a problem with my left binding loosening during the day as I ski. At the end of the day, my boot has slid out completely. Anybody else have this problem and can you suggest a remedy? Thanks

My bet is its the heel tubes. The machined threads are stripped and when binding is flexed the adjuster spring cable is popping to the next thread in the tube. At least that is what happened to my brother. New tube=problem solved.

Contact 22 Designs. Odds are they'll send the parts you need to you for no charge. Great company, and (IMO) the best 75mm non-touring binding made.

X3. Had same problem accept I just ripped out of the heel tube which was rendered useless. On a 2' pow day. 2 miles in backcountry. 22 Designs did send me replacement parts free fwiw.

^ Ow. That really sucks. Makes one think that the Voile 3-pin Hardwire is really the most fail-safe tele binding made.

Had a BD strap (orange things) so was able to rig connection and light foot alpine turns to safety. If was the epic turns I survival turned through rather than chomping that really stung. Was my 4th HH failure for the record.

    ^^^ Man, that's rough
What size boot do you wear Doremite?
I wear a 29 and have not had a problem, yet my brother who wears a 30.5 has dealt with the stripped heel tube and has broken at least 4 shims, cracked where the cable guide rests in pos. #4.
