Glad to hear all the visitors are enjoying themselves! Don't be bashful, especially in the lodge- I'd love to meet you guys and show you all around! I'm the guy with the shaved head and the huge smile.

Phrase most commonly heard in the lodge (and at the Powerhouse, and on the slopes, and basically everywhere.):
"Where's DoWork?!"
If you ask around, you'll at least find someone who knows him and will show you around.
It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I'm always amused that everyone generally gets called by their actual names, but DoWork...well he's DoWork.

Hey guys, looking for some beta here. I'm trying to convince my wife that we should check out magifc for the first time this weekend. Where is a decently close place to stay. Also, how is the snowright now? Not too much crust damage on sun to Monday earlier this week?

Can't comment on the snow, but Snowdon and the Lodge Vermont (formerly Inn at Magic) are probably your two best bets for lodging. Magic View is a third option, but decidedly less fancy. Not bad. Just... basic. Lodge is next to the mountain, Snowdon is a whopping 2-3 mins away.

Dammit my longterm goal of appearing in a Guy Douchette production was foiled again by 1. lots of girlfriend skiing and 2. Pearljam09 taking a tumble going off the rock and thus preventing me from making the edit by inevitably doing the same.
Guess I'll have to go back to Magic again...

Bump for:
1. My 1st day at Magic
2. My first Guy Douchette video appearance
3. My first credited movie appearance (under something other than my porn name)
4. The overall awesomenessity of the Magic crew.

Trigger pulled! Thanks for the beta. Bunch of places were full, but scored a room right down the road at the frogs leap inn. Pretty fired up for tomorrow since I've skiied all over Vt but never ventured over to magic yet. Have no idea where to go on the hill, so any volunteer tour guides will be appreciated!
Late arrival in town edit to add ill be in a dirty orange jacket, silver helmet last years Rossi s3, purple lace thong. skiing with the wife in a purple jacket. Ask for change!Last edited by Duffman; 02-11-2011 at 10:49 PM.

Duffman - great meeting you. Hope you had a blast. So glad to see others making return trips (Irishexit). Great weekend with some high speed cruising and some solid digging work by njfree and PJ09. That little surprise is gonna rock.

Great meeting up with and making some turns with the magic crew. Fun mountain, had a great day checking it out! Special thanks to uppernotmaster and pearljam09 for the tourguiding, fun stashes everywhere on that mtn. My wife was not a big breakable crust fan in the woods, but still loved the terrain and vibe otherwise so we will definitely be back after our canuckistan trip is over. We had a prior commitment Sunday, so couldn't make it back over, but I'm sure everything was skiing great.
I still can't believe I forgot to take advantage of some super easy Magic Mtn style GNAR points in the bar.... "I can't believe you're a shareholder, I'm so much fucking better than you..." Thought of that on the way down the access rd. Doh!

I still have no idea how it's so hard to find me all the time. I'll walk into the bar, etc. and there's like ten people who are like "There he is! Dude where have you been, we've been looking all over for you!"
I wouldn't turn down an ortovox S1 if you guys want to keep better tabs on me
Bday celebrations at Magic are always a great idea. Just don't plan on not being caught in a boozealanche."If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise." -Robert Fritz
