The Apprentice, Season 2
Since nobody's posted on this one yet this year, figured I would.
Glad to see worthless-ass Ivana go. Seems she had some sort of inferiority complex with Jen...completely undid her in the end.
Down to the final 4...my guess has it'll be Kelly and Sandy in the final 2, and it'll be neck-and-neck between the two...
anybody see the show tonight?

Jen's going to get nailed in the upcoming interview segment for being "totally lacking in substance," similar to the annoying blonde who made it to the Final Four last season.
I'd bang her, though. You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness, and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer.

I don't like it this season - it's like one long commercial for whatever product they have in competition (m&m's, pepsi, levis, etc). That said, I still watch every week and cannot stand Jen - but she certainly has luck on her side. Watch her end up in the final 2.

my opinion: trump himself would like to mount the blonde later therefore she gets this far, and she gets to final 2.

Kelly and Jen in the final two.
There were rumors of a leak about week 2 or 3 that They would be the final two. The fact that we are down to four and they are still there makes me think it to be true. As far as Jen lacking substance, I would assume she would thrive in an interview setting. She is a lawyer and has a strong educational background. I would assume her to be stronger in this type of setting than the creativity that goes into designing pepsi bottles or toys etc.

I'd have to say the players have been most disappointing this time around. So much bickering.
Ivana was a 'ho. I loved how Carolyn said "but you weren't really selling a candy bar where you?" Funny that the crusty old man thought it was just a "gimmick." Seemed pretty trashy to me. How she thought she would still have a chance at working for Donald Trump after taking off her skirt on Nat'l TV is beyond me. Geez...if you want boobs and blonde hair so bad just go get them.
I would say Kelly will def. be there...the other I'm not sure.Last edited by KQ; 12-03-2004 at 11:04 AM.

lets look at this from the other side of the table. Crusty old man doesn't like any of the guys, carolyn likes jens conduct, trump has lust for jen. Winna.

Kelly can't lose to any of those guys. He has his his poop grouped way more tightly than the rest of them. I've got $5 on him.
The bickering is crazy, though. It's really annoying.
What did you guys think of "dirty old man" George complimenting Ivanna on dropping her skirt? he said, "At least she did something!" Right. It's idomatic, beatch.

I just think the show's hilarious. It amazes me how many people on the show don't 'get it' with the whole respect for their leadership thing - be it their Project Manager (there is a time to lead, and a time to follow. IMO, this is where Kelly has excelled beyond the others), their direct supervision (George and Caroline), and their boss and hopeful employer. I mean, arguing with over trivial items, and being disrespectful to someone you want to hire you...wow. There is a time to argue, and there is a time to shut the fuck up and walk out with your skin intact, to fight another day.
I agree that the commercialization is pretty cheesy...corporate TV at its worst. And wasn't this the second candy bar or ice cream sale they've had this season? Kind of the same shit. But on the other hand, they have had unrelated tasks that I thought were pretty neat - the NYPD recruiting video, the dog wash, the bridal show, the fashion show, the house clean-up...
As far as reality TV, or posting in Movies/Books/Music...I actually post in there quite regularly, but that forum doesn't get half the traffic (or discussion) as this does. Besides, I can't tell you how many "Welcome to the OC, bitch!" threads there have been over here. To each his own...
With Ivana's firing, I was somewhat miffed that they didn't pick up on her serious inferiority complex with Jen. She has an obsession with her that she even admitted to in the boardroom as her 'achilles heel'. Now, if someone has an obsession that leads to their self-destruction (and everything else around them), is that somebody I want to employ? Hardly. Instead, they focused on the act of the stripping, with it either being a gimmick or bad form...and then on her losing record.
Anyway, looking at what happened, she exercised little leadership or control over her team, and then when she found out that Jen was nearby she lost her damned mind. Of course she had to have the comment in passing by the team, attempting to subvert a sale of theirs, and then melted down over their dress..."fine, you want sex, I'll give ya sex", with the de-pantsing and all. Jesuchristo. Completely lost her marbles on that one. Say what you will, but certain ethics and behaviors are expected in business...her reactions were not within that range.

This season has been really disappointing. I agree that it's been one, big ad. Plus the fact that half of the boardroom scenes are the girls bitching at one another. Jen ending up in the final two is just pure luck - she's flown under the radar the entire season. If I were Trump, I sure as hell wouldn't hire her - even if she did go to Princeton and Harvard.
If she does win, I'm gonna throw down ...
