    Well played
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

    Sweet.

Let's hope this year bucks the long-term climatology trend and statistics and that my $120 Baldy pass pays off.

we've had a tremendous amount of rain down here in glendale. however, i'm afraid it's all going to waste with these warm temps...

^^^yeah what a bummer, looks like the rain/snow line is around 9000 ft in the San G & B based on the radar. Odd that it is snowing in the hills north of Santa Barbara & Ventura...hopefully that cold air just moves a bit south.

Total bummer. Reports from Mt. Pinos indicate snow line is at 5500' there, yet it's 37F and raining at Baldy Notch, elev 7800'. WTF!?

Baldy Road is washed out 300 yards before the fork to Icehouse Canyon.Looked like one lane is missing and the other is undermined. No skiing Baldy this week.

This might be a better NOAA link for Baldy area (7,029ft):
    http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...&FcstType=text

NOAA forecasts are almost always extremely optimistic when it comes to snowfall, might as well pick a lower elevation than the peak to try to make it more realistic.

Going up Thursday, blue pant green jacket with Lhasa pow and will be with a boarder friend. Coverage does look decent, road is still questionable last I heard. 1000 oaks, any body up for it?

It looks like coverage should be OK, I'm just wondering about the road. I don't like going up when it's sketchy.

Does anyone have a report of the skiing to the lot? Looks like good coverage on Thunder, but I am wondering how the skiing to chair 1 will be tomorrow after a a few more inches. I will be heading up Padua around 6:30 am if anyone wants a ride up.

If you don`t mind a 300 yard bootpack down the flats it looked really good. There were a few people doing it.We downloaded thinking it wasn`t deep enough and then saw someone slay Bentlys Dream in 4 turns? Just wanted to cry right then.Totally missjudged the coverage in there. The chutes are filled in nicely.

That's all I needed to know. Just stay in the middle of the chutes. It gets pretty hairy that last few hundred yards anyway, so I'll be tiptoeing at that point anyway typically. When 1 is going good, there aren't many spots better than Baldy on a weekday. Thanks Twins, see ya out there.
