Looks like a great day on Baden. Those snow bridges and that waterfall can be knar this time of year. Anyone going now should consider walking down the road go just past the waterfall as the road starts to turn right you can start to see the next chute (no waterfall). Hike up that so you can find it on the way down.

Yeah, I thought about hiking back up and over to the next chute (which would've be a smooth clean exit right onto the road), but it was already getting close to 5pm and I didn't have a headlamp with me. It was exciting doing some rock climbing though, and that part in the video wasn't the worst of it. One other section was twice as high and required getting a bit wet. Fun times.

Where do you live? If they pop up it probably won't be too far from home. Who the hell would steal boots...heck who the hell would steal well-used skis...
Tweakers.
Maybe set up a Google Alert for each item without being overly specific, then regardless of where it pops up (ebay, craigslist, etc) you should get a notification.

Fuck man, that's terrible. Sorry to hear. I'll keep my eyes on craigslist for you.
What about homeowner's / renter's insurance? Do you have any? They typically cover theft like this, even if you don't have receipts for your gear. If you have enough proof (which your TRs are full of) you should be able to file a claim.

Jeez, I wouldn't have expected much crime there, were they snaked out of your garage or your vehicle? Break-in or unlocked door? There's a Play It Again used sporting goods place in Simi where they could turn up, not sure if there are any others around.

I live in a condo and unfortunately share a garage with another condo owner. Unfortunately the other owner was foreclosed on, and it looks like the foreclosure crews helped themselves to my stuff. No break in--someone with access to the garage jacked me.
I'm keeping vigilant eyes wide open on craigslist and ebay, from San Diego to Bakersfield. My bros are unmistakeable with all the stickers. And who the fuck besides me has old size 12 scarpa denalis, and xl freerides, in so cal? I'm thinking they're going to have a hard time unloading them, and I fear they might end up in a dumpster.
But fuck those fucking fuckers-I will ski again. And soon. With redemption.Powered by Pisco

Think there are any decent patches of snow left in the shade on the backside of the Notch, or is it completely done?

That's a crazy reduced rate 1000-oaks, thanks for pointing that out.
Question though, I ordered from that semi-shady looking website that the pass is offered on. I got a confirmation email from that 3rd party but how can I check to see if Im officially on the virtual pass list? My email addreess and/or order number return no results on Baldys website

I thought that was why u posted above, it still had the link on it.
Did u buy one? I have no idea how to confirm with Mt baldy's website that I'm officially a Virtual pass holder.

That's weird, earlier today the deal was $59.50 for the virtual pass with no blackout dates, then about 6:30 tonight it was $99 with a $50 gift card (I have a screen shot of it), and now it's back to $59.50 and no gift card. I didn't buy this one because I already paid $119 back in March at "the lowest prices of the season"...grrrrrr.
As far as your confirmation on your purchase goes, I'll bet it's legit. (Original post was made by TGR member "MtBaldyChamber", which is the Mt Baldy Chamber of Commerce) Give it a week or two, they'll probably email you something you can print out. Last year it took a month or two before their site was updated so I could register my virtual pass. Baldy has some really low-tech, slow pass purchase procedures, but it seems to always works out in the end.Last edited by 1000-oaks; 06-23-2011 at 11:32 PM.

Thats odd. I just hope it isn't a scam, sounds too cheap to be possible.
I think I figured it out but I'm still not sure how I can confirm with Baldy if I'm legit or not, Oh well.
Hopefully see u guys at Baldy next season.
Thanks for the heads up 406 and LDD, great price

It's legit, the original post was made by TGR member "MtBaldyChamber", which is the Mt Baldy Chamber of Commerce. The first year the Baldy Chamber of Commerce did this deal the pass was $49.99. Next year it was around $99 with a $25 gift card, then $119 this year. They're probably trying this new promotion site to attact new buyers that haven't been pass holders before.
