    Sled Helmet sizing help

I would never buy a helmet without trying it on first but I have been pushed into it by circumstance. I just bought a 2nd hand sled but didn't get a helmet. Sleds are rare things in Japan and helmet sizing is generally adjusted for locals even if you could find a sled helmet. For skiing, I wear a M in Giro or Bern and they fit great. Can someone who also finds Giro or Bern M size ski helmets a good fit give me a recomendation on what sled helmet brand and size also fits their head well? Thanks.

SC, I can't recommend a similar fit, but if I we're buying a helmet again, I would buy something like the Troy Lee 2 or 3, or Giro Fullface(whatever its called). A lighter ski/biking fullface as opposed to a motocross/sled helmet. I bought a Fox (V2 I think), great for just sledding and fortunately get to use it for work, but for sled/skiing its just too heavy/cumbersome and I find myself now always sporting my open faced Sweet, not the safest/smartest move. Carbon motocross helmets may be light enough but not sure, someone else can chime in on that. Yeah, some people just wear their MX helmet to the zone and then touque it while there, sketch IMO. I would feel best with a lightweight FF that will see use on the up and the down.

And do yourself a favor and grab an Icebreaker merino balaclava and some ear plugs on a string.
