Make your own that's what i did, I used pan head screws from the inside out, located in the meaty part of the tread, then tape the inside with duck tape.
    Just take it easy man.
    I'm perfectly calm Dude.
Yeah, waving the fucking gun around?
    Calmer than you are.
Will you just take it easy?

Yeah, I have done homemade (with 100 screws/nuts per tire) but it was a PITA, and really prone to flats. Maybe with a slime tube, or homebrew sealant...

Now that Ive been here multiple winters, if I have to dodge some asshole on a bike in a snowstorm one more time Im just going to hit them. Happened just yesterday in the supermarket parking lot of Broulims. Blowing consistent 30+ with 50+ gusts, snowing sideways, and this asshole on a bike naturally blows through the parking lot like its summer without any care for any other moving vehicles.

Its fucking snowing outside. Most people cant properly ride a bike in the summer, winter is just a bad idea. Darwin, take notice.

Sounds like your turning a blind eye to the way most people think they own the road on a bike.

I bike myself. I get it. But I also dont decide to do my grocery shopping via bicycle in a snowstorm, and then proceed to ride like an asshole in the process.

I can drive as safe as possible, but if someone on a bike cuts me off, I cant stop like Im on dry pavement.

That is my point. If you do choose to ride in the snow, dont be a dumbass. It just unfortunately tends to happen here a little to often.

Way to be the Dick from Elsewhere. Enviable egotism there. Seriously.

Remember, folks: When you move somewhere new, you must DEMAND that the pre-existing residents ACCOMMODATE YOU. You MUST demand that. Otherwise, well... you lose. And nobody likes a loser!

Also... did you really say "I bike myself."???

    You "bike"?

When you drive your car, are you "carring"?

    Driggsie,

I have a pair of studded tires that I rode 1x and decided I'd rather ride w/o studded tires. Yours for shipping. They're old 2.1 wide XC tires.

Heh. PM received and answered. Here's a great synchronicity: Don G at Bike Doctor made the studded tires for me, out of some tires I already had.

I like to run a homebrew on the front and a nokian on the back. The homemade studded tire rolls slow and feels like your brakes are locked on the back. But the home studjob has way more aggressive studs and doesn't slow you down that much IMO and the stopping and cornering improvements are so worth it. Especially if you ride on any lakes or rivers the front digs and holds the back can drift around.
