Any tips on getting deals on lift tickets? Anybody want to let me sleep on your floor? I'm thinking of driving up from Bellingham tomorrow/friday.

^^ off the Spearhead SE shoulder, lots of fun lines. That one is not quite that steep as shown in the photo ;-)
Still can't believe how good the powder was today.

There are only a few, and they are all as broke as I am. I'm trying tho! It helps when Lee takes good pictures all the time too

Question for the masses...
What is the name of line 1 in the picture?
Line 2 = Cham Chute? Short for...?
Line 3... Has anyone ever skied this?

1 and 2 are both Cham chutes. Short for chamonix is what I thought.
Skied number 2, number 1 is a rope line to get in.
Line 3 I'm not sure of. Never seen a line down it, not sure that it goes at the top from what I remember.

Just did three sweet days at the Jim Haberl hut in the Tantalus.
Definately the mosted pimped out hut in the best location I've ever had the fortune to stay at! The hut is located at 2000 metres, on a high alpine col with easy access to everything from long glacier runs to serious couloirs and bowel shaking gnar. We skied on Mt Serratus, Mt. Dionne and Mt Alpha . Ridiculous terrain, with more faces, steeps, and spines than you'll need for one trip. All Sea to Sky locals should start scheming to get into this zone. Judging by the log book, not a ton of traffic winter traffic to this hut, which was finished in 2006 and is more well appointed than any house I've every lived in.
Details on the hut here: http://www.alpineclubofcanada.ca/facility/haberl.html
A few pics:
Mrs. Shoe at the top of a really long run on Mt. Serratus,
A view of some gnarly peaks in the Tantalus zone,
Looking back up at the top half of our run from Mt. Serratus,
A view of Mt. Serratus (right) and Mt. Alpha (left)

We did the heli in (right to the hut) and the heli out (from Serratus Lake). 6 people, two Jet Ranger loads came to about $300 per person. It seemed pricy till I saw the hut and the location, then it seemed really cheap! We used Black Tusk heli, but I hear Blackcomb Heli goes there too

The Haberl looks amazing.
I've been marvelling at the size of the cornices in the Tantalus as well as along the Sea-to-Sky, from Diamond Head to Brohm Ridge. I've never seen cornices so large. A few must be easily 40-60 feet high if we can see them from this distance.
Black Tusk looks like it has grown Patagonian mushrooms...

Nice work Kalisto, I would say that is the true Cham Chute! It is very unlikely that it is a first decent (b/c is it pretty close to the hill to but definitely rad), but you never know. Either way cool line.
Saturday up high was awesome, a great homage to the best April I have had.

First descent or not it was a sweet line (maybe would have liked slightly less sun baked snow but I won't complain) regardless it was a great way to spend my last day of the season doing something like that. As for me I am now up off in the interior for the Summer to fight forest fires (or at least will be when the snow melts) so keep the stoke coming so I can live vicariously through your lives....and if anyone is planning on road tripping up through 100 Mile and looking for a place to crash for a night PM me, I have a cabin on a lake with a ski boat to keep me entertained but have issues finding a driver to pull me. Anyways guys awesome season, glad to meet a bunch of you on the hill and I'm officially counting down the days till November....Fuck
