Owls are super killer hella rad!!!!

I was buying the argument up until Rush entered the mix.

I had a bumper crop of bunnies last winter and than the owls moved in, I would hear them a night, awesome sound. Cleaned the bunnies down to very few numbers in six weeks. Loved hearing them when I went out at night.

Owls are the raddest of the rad. I mean fucking A really. The best commercial ever created had an owl pontificating about the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a toootsie pop, and he fucking knew the right answer ...... 3 brilliant killing machines!!!

A coincidence that I saw my first ever (north american) sighting of an owl this evening? Owls are fucking awesome.

Cute little bugger, is that a saw-whet? Why is this on the political forum? Spotted Owls?

When I was a kid a volunteered at this nature center, the head naturalist dude was heavy into birds and we would go out in the fall with screech owl tapes and call them in and spot them with flashlights, It was SO cool to have them call back and come in for a close look. You mainland mags should try that. I live Hawaii and we have a native little Owl called a Pueo and non-native barn owls.

Good stuff.

I have an owl call from back when I used to hunt turkey. I call in great horned owls all the time. In the winter you can get them to come in from miles away. Hoo Hoo Ha HOOOOOoooool!

It's a "shock call". A lot of times they gobble back to a crow or owl call. Or slamming car doors for that matter. It's wierd how a bird so dumb is so hard to call within 20 yards.
