Thread: The Walking Dead on AMC

Last 10 minutes of show were great. Bringing in a known actor (and then knocking him off) was brilliant. More zombies promised for remainder of season (per Talking Dead interview w/Exec. Producer). Interesting question raised: Did virus become airborne (the sick girl who wasn't bitten/scratched).
I'm in for remainder of the year.

^agreed. That quick draw was so badass. I'm wondering the same thing about the virus mutating. Another question: if Lori gets bitten by the walker that she hit, does her unborn fetus also become a walker? I know she's not far along, but it'd be sweet if a zombie baby ate its way out.

I had to watch the quick draw scene three times to figure out who drew first. It really shocked me. Lots of great setup in that midseason premier.

If a scratch can infect the security guards / cops then how is it that rick can be bathing in blood with a big cut across his face?

It's definitely foreshadowing. It just doesn't make much sense with Rick and Shane getting zombie blood all over their open cuts. Especially the open cuts on their fingers that they self inflicted.
Maybe one of them will get infected.
Rick's a pussy. He should have left Shane for dead.
And they never should have saved that kid in the first place.

Carl may have the balls, but AMC doesn't. Shane's not going anywhere.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

This interloper is starting to feel like Sophie part II. Two episodes around this douche, with another on the horizon. On the plus-side, they axed Dale in a pretty rad way, and it looks like shit is about to hit the fan. Daryl will be the next to get it when he gets trapped somewhere and can't find his piece.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

That's really the main problem with the show. Shit is getting dragged out.
The excitement and suspense is back, which is great. But really the story lines need to be tighter.

Should have shot that kid in the barn, loose lips sink ships.
Now the young kid is gonna have to cop to losing the pistolio

Great episode but I'm a bit confused on how someone turns into a zombie. No bites or scratches. Will the dead rise from their graves as zombies?

Didn't the CDC guy say something about it going airborne? Maybe they're all carriers, but have to die to become walkers?
I was so busy trying to figure out why Randall was a zombie, that I didn't fully process the Rick/Shane interaction until it was over. Pretty crazy turn of events. PowTron almost got it right. Carl did kill Shane, just not the first time.Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I wonder how they will do that, too...the foreshadowing with the security guards a few episodes back when Shane and Rick got into it, and Randall and Shane both turning into walkers after getting killed both point to them either all having something in them, OR just the people who went to that school area (Rick, Shane, and Randall) when they were going to let him go...which would mean Rick is next.
Either way, great possibilities. And I knew Carl would kill Shane, sord ofYou should have been here yesterday!

Awesome episode.
I think they are carriers and will therefore become zombies as soon as they die. Whether that applies to all or just the ones that went to the gas station we can't know.
Good to see Shane finally get taken out. Blondy is going to be pissed.
Looking forward to next weeks blood bath. My guess is they will be departing the farm soon after.
