Anyone who knows how the Katana will change for 11/12? Is it that 119mm-underfoot-gotama-esque-rocker-profile-with-a-better-tip-thing?

That 119mm underfoot ski is different than the Katana. It's name started with an S (skiver? skean? scimitar?), some sort of synonym of sword. I can't for the life of me remember exactly what it was called though. I can't imagine it would replace the Katana.

Rossignol S5 will be named Scimitar next season.
Don't know if Völkl will use it too though.

Jeez, stop arguing about this and go back 1 page in the thread and read! STH14 has 3 holes since it got the crappy toe and the Driver got 4 holes...

The Dictators looks awesome, I'll def. get a pair just because of the look!

I wouldn't imagine any Solly athletes would be using anything other than a driver toe. BTW they make the 14 in a driver toe version.

Agreed! I think a 184 cm Lotus 120 would be perfect.

I thought it started with a G, but ya, having seen the skis, I can't imagine them replacing the Katana. I should be able to confirm this pretty soon.

I don't know if it's out of line for a company to post in this thread, but I thought we might stoke the rumor mill a bit with a peak at the YLEs.

No..... The standard STH 14 is a 3 hole pattern (as with the Z series), the STH 14 Driver is 4

Is this ski an Ian McIntosh pro model perhaps?

I was told by a pretty reputable source that the entire DPS lineup will be available in 186 relatively soon - perhaps even next year.

We'll announce the exact dims pretty soon, but for now I can tell you they are going to be a little bit wider than the CRJ underfoot. I think the video will give a sense of the sidecut. They also have tip and tail rocker.

It's called the Shiro. 119 underfoot, full rocker, no metal. I was told it's intended to compete with the S7. Gotoma has a new rocker profile but I didn't get any details.

18 DIN jesters coming out too.

^^^yeah, why? anyone who wants a 186cm 120, or 138 for that matter, should just sack up and get the 190. it aint that long.
Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on epicski or Paula's Ski Lovers, AltaNancy.
