Thinnest, Lowest Profile Helmet
I'm looking for the thinnest, lowest profile helmet out there. Anyone have any recommendations?

I asked the same question a while back and received some really good feedback regarding the Bern Baker/Watts line of helmets. Those POC ones look pretty slim as well. That's all I got.

Protection and fit. Chances are, the lower the profile, the less fitability it's going to have. But tru, you gots to look fly.....

Smith Maze. i think its the lightest helmet on the market and has a really low profile.

Although the first few recommendations are probably the thinnest/lowest profile. The one that you are probably most interested in is the Smith Maze. Thin, light, low profile. It's a pretty sweet helmet.

Another vote for the Maze....although the Vantage this season is using the same technology to lighten it up a bit more as well.

I guess I can take a stab at this one - My jacket's hood is very, very small and can only handle a helmet with a very low profile. My stupid RED XL mothership bohemith from 2003 isn't cutting it and doesn't fit at all with the hood up. Not wanting to get a new shell, I actually opted for the Smith Maze based on a few reviews on this thread. Fits like a glove.

I think my Carrera with my visor mod makes me look like Steve McQueen

I just picked up the Maze off Evogear in neon green! I hope I have enough steeze to rock that color.

One thing that has proved frustrating while looking for a new helmet is that seems that companies have made each helmet size compatible for a greater range of sizing. I have an old Giro G10 from 4 years ago that fits my head (59cm) like a dream. I went and tried on a new G10 and it was ridiculously HUGE on me. Looked at the tag and it's sized for a 59cm - 63.5cm. Of course the medium was too small. WTF is up with that? At least the Maze comes in increments of 2cm.'09/'10: 69
'10/'11: 84
'11/'12: 67

I can tell you that Giro helmets don't fit the same since they went to the sizer thing in them.
I have a medium G10, and I love it. Unfortunately, the M is now an L with a sizer in it. The L is an XL with a sizer in it. Besides having his huge thing on my head, I'm not sure a new M would protect the back of my head as well. Of course, bike helmets are all like that, But they seem to sit way higher on the back of your head, nor do you ever really hit the back of your head. Yes, I once hit the back of my head skiing. Then I learned how to ski powder. IDK. It would also be important regarding the safety bar.No longer stuck.
