It's On - Intuition Liner Group Buy

Have been speaking with the folks at Intuition and they have offered to let the *fine* maggots of TGR to participate in a group buy. The threshold is just 8 pairs of liners. I'm in for two so I would imagine that this should be a go.

These things just plain rock...but you all probably all know that. I am really excited for the pro tour liner as my AT liner needs replacing. Here is their full offering - http://www.intuitionliners.com/

Pricing - these things retail for $170 - $180 + $25 and up for shipping. The exact pricing with shipping PP etc. is still being ironed out but it sounds like it will be around $100/pair shipped to your door. I live in Seattle and local pick-up will be welcome and encouraged.

If you are interested, please bump this thread in the following format:

    foreal: powerwrap - 9, pro tour - 9

    More details to follow....

    Cheers,
    B

El Chupacabra: Powerwrap in 28 (size 10), and a Luxury Liner in 28 (size 10), medium volume

Edit: upsizing the liners, and changed to the Luxury Liner for my AT boots. I'll post again below with the corrected info.

    Shipping to Canada?

Also, not sure if I should get a Pro Tour in a size 7 or size 8 for my Garmont Endorphin (26.0 : 295 bsl : 1cm shell fit). Recommendations?

I'm in for one pair, but not sure what I need. These will go into Dynafit TNT shells, size 26, looking to buy 26.5 liners.
Please advise as to which one.

    2nded on both points/questions.

Intuition is in Canada already, so maybe it would be cheaper for Canadian Mags to have all Canadian orders ship to someone in Canada for re-distrubution to avoid customs/duties twice and reduce shipping.

I would be willing to volunteer for this role if you're interested. Locals could pick up from me, or I could re-ship.

It worth noting that Intution has confusing sizing. For instance, I have a size 8 powerwrap blug in my size 25 flexons (which I think were called a size 6 by the boot manufacturer).

There are threads around the discuss how to choose the right size, but maybe the OP can but a concise recommendation with this thread?

Either way, I'm in for at least one pair, but I'm undecided as to which model and size just yet.

I'm trying to sort this out too, as well as looking at whether I should go with the Luxury liner or the Pro Tour liner for my AT boots. I want a tongue liner for the AT boots. It looks like the Luxury liner is stiffer than the Pro Tour (not sure though -- the Pro Tour comes with different stiffness tongues), and I like the lace-up feature on the Pro Tour.

Different stiffness on the pro tour tounges? Wasn't aware. Should we specify?

    ^^This please.

I would just be guesstimating on what size to buy.

    From the intuition website:

    US - Mondo
    5 - 23
    6 - 24
    7 - 25
    8 - 26
    9 - 27
    10 - 28
    11 - 29
    12 - 30
    13 - 31
    14 - 32

Read the articles. Read the linked threads. Email Intuition Liners - they are pretty responsive

For those with short attn spans

    Overlap liners

In order of stiffness (stiffest to softest)

    - Powerwrap (most people who want this in their alpine boots get these)

    - Alpine (people who want to tour with overlaps tend to get these. Many reasons to tour with these; quirks of your feet, warmest liner etc)

    Tongue liners

They're all about as stiff as each other. The stiffnesses delta is minor

    - Luxury (slightly stiffer than the Freeride and Protour [with soft tongue])

    - Freeride (see above description)

    - Pro Tour (lace option - can help with locking down the heel; most people who want put this in touring boots will probably get this, can put in laces or take them out. Have the option to buy stiffer tongue. Probably the most tuneable liner in the lineup

    - Plug (slightly thinner foam so you can get tighter fit)

    Thanks, Lee.
Sounds like the Pro Tour is what I am looking for.

Yeah, this makes sense actually, because I'm pretty sure that Intuition recommends going one size up in liner if you're unsure as will pack out to the right size after moulding. And this chart suggest my boots would want a size 7 liner (or an 8, based on the above uncertainty criteria).

Might still be able to handle CDN distro if needed, but would be easier if there was someone in the city (in Whistler). PM me, I can always step it up. Would be cheaper than shipping to Calgary as I can pickup.

I just talked to someone at Intution, and she said the discount was only 15%, in which case please cancel my order. If the shipped price is closer to $100, I am in.

^^ Wasn't that the longstanding "mention TGR" price which is available anytime?

What's the cutoff date for orders?

    Great price.

EDIT: throw me down for 28 Pro Tour & 28 Luxury.
If you want to do it, that does make more sense to me.

My interest is also dependent on the price of around $100.
