MAsshole noob, even though I still think of myself as being a Coloradan, as I grew up in the mountains. Formerly closeted lurker, now registered JONG. And I like beer.

No quote linky for me: But do you know what a groomer is? -TurxSki

Groomer: noun groom • er a person who cares for and cleans animals -Meriam Webster

Geez we have to go down to the 5th to get to this: to prepare (terrain) for participants in a sport, as by packing down new snow and leveling moguls for skiers. - the free dictionary

Then there's this: runs for racing and generally going reallyreallyfast - skibunny

What's your definition TurxSki ? (Tried to do a quote and an "at" there but too much JONG interference)

he's referring to a comment from another thread where I rode the gondola with a ski instructor who was asking why some runs were called groomers.
You've gotta lurk around here until you get all the inside jokes

Someday I hope to have time to lurk through the goodies... Spend most of my interwebs time at ridemonkey, but have been looking for a snow slider thread for years... Somehow I missed this one until now!

Well, if you had to look it up, then I guess that is a FAIL.

Are you sure that wasn't you in the JH bucket with BabyBear?

Edit: Oh yeah, we are not big on all that @ and # shit around here...yet...

As a bozeman local I'm not sure if I'm really stoked or really sad to see the popularity of the bridger bowl thread

I'm back on the board again after a long absence. I'm currently holed up in SLC, the latest stop on my winter 2016 ski road trip.

Longtime lurker here, it's about time I made an account. My SO and I are Midwesterners moving to Salt Lake City to get down on the ski life we've always wanted. Figured I might as well inundate myself with as much knowledge as possible.

Thought I'd say hello. I got locked into a serious ski addiction ten years ago and have a habit for pushing it as far is it will go.

Skied a lot of Europe. Mostly alps but made it to the Dolomites once. Moved to the east coast last year. Managed to convince my wife to have a hash at trying skiing.

    Unhappy

I'm new to the forum and new to snowboarding. I have been snowboarding a few times at Seven Spring, favorite trail was Boomerang. Wish I could do more besides stop and that's hard enough to do.
