My name is Ben. I am a sailor in the United States Merchant Fleet. I like to read Yossarians initial post in this thread once or twice a summer when I am jonesing and need to feel good. My wife is preggers and is due in January. I will try to get some pics up when she gets REAL BIG. I have already posted a breast pic, so search away....I think it was my 500th post actually. I suppose I should have posted in this thread a while ago.
A woman reported to police at 6:30 p.m. that she was being "smart-mouthed."

Hi my name is Zavier and I'm addicted to the white stuff. I've been on NS for too long and decided it was time to come here. I'm excited to ski.

I always thought I was too old or not cool enough to post here. Now I know that it's true. Guess I'll post anyway.

I am a skier, and I like to ski. I don't understand park rats, but I understand the likes of Seth, Shane, Pep, Mahre, and Pollard. This is what I look like when I ski.
I am also a mountain biker, and a budding photographer.

we don't care how well you can't ski. jonging is when you hang weights off your genitalia and let people hit the weights with a hammer. That's the sound it makes when the hammer hits. Try it. It should be fun.
don't type in all caps without spaces - it's the same as saying I am a jackass.
No its a small snake. The dreaded "snow snake" that keeps you off of 75% of dbl blacks.
oh yeah - welcome JONG.

My priorities are all messed up. I live in the Detroit area. Most of my days are in CO but I'm branching out. UT, WY and MT will hopefully be visited this year. Dig the east too. Had great days at Magic, MRG and Jay last year. I ski Michigan as well. Tend to do a Bohemia trip every couple of years. Slalom boards make the hills of Detroit kinda fun.
Hmmm, what else? I'm a geezer with an odd sense of style. I've done a couple of pornos and I like to drive. Unfiltered honey is the best.

Mornin' all,
Ex pat Brit JONG based in BC.. now living at KHMR. Slid sideways for years, now back to shoulders down the hill. Been ski-ing mostly in Europe for the last ten years. Starting to tour properly this winter, so any advice would be handy on kit. ( maybe I should have posted that in another thread?)
Very happy to see that sarcasm is a way of life on here, may try and join in once my JONG status has been upgraded.
Edit: Apologies Caius and Carvedog for interrupting your first date.. it was going so well. Carry on.

Been visiting on and off for a long time, and had an account at one point but never really posted (and can't find it now); but it was The Gnarwhale's recent trip report "33 Days Across Wrangell," that made me decide to re-join.
I spend summers in Alaska and winters in Colorado. Been sliding for about 25 years now; skied when I was younger, switched to a board, and now mainly ride, but I get a few days on skis every winter.
I pay the bills with a custom cut vinyl sticker/banner/shirt business, ID Vinyl. I'll post a thread in Gear Swap with a super deal on custom stickers at some point, but I'm here because this is the best damn snow forum on the internet and I want to join the community, don't want to come across as just trying to sell something.

Greenhorn Newbie Dares Join Forum
O.K. I'm a greenhorn newbie from Deep East Texas that wants to join in the fun.
I've been skiing since '69, boarding since '86. I've skied or ridden (usually both) 93 lift served areas and a reasonable amount of back country, East and West. After retiring from a law practice, I taught boarding for 6 seasons and was a staff trainer during the last two. This will be the sixth year in a row that I've wintered at a ski resort town. My biggest year was over 1,500,000 vert. ft.; biggest day was over 70,000; biggest cliff jump, just 20 feet; biggest cornice, around 35 feet.
I also climb (traverse of McKinley with Ray Genet, Polish Direct on Aconcagua with Allen Steck, French Ridge of Huntington with Michael Covington, solo on Robson, etc.), white water kayak and windsurf (although I broke my neck during Hurricane Bob in '91, so maybe I'm not too good).
My true lifelong avocation (since age 10), hobby and occassional source of income is playing trumpet in every setting from Baroque Oratorios to way outside small combo jazz.
This year I'll be in Jackson Hole for a little more than three months. I've skied and boarded there on three shorter trips and have earned turns out of Teton Pass but this will the first year for a full season and I hope to get some tips on this forum and maybe see some of you on the hill.
