not a canuck
well if yer sticking to northern vt, yer only getting some of the storms. i live on the seacoast of nh and will drive in any direction to hit storms and many of em stay south (sunapee is great in these storms) or east of northern vt. i do skip work on no notice to hit storms and am a mid week warrior.
if it ain't dumping, i'm touring, and often even if it is dumping, i'm touring up high. i also will leave newmarket at 2-3am ona storm day, skin untracked for a couple of hours till 1st chair, ski till noon or 1 and head back to the coast for second shift.
keep me in mind for mid week pow assaults.

My brother is looking for a bike too, I was going to post. Hopefully early 80s or newer, any asian standard would work at around 500cc. We'll be up cruising VT craigslist (for the bike) the weekend of ullrfest. Anyone know someone selling?
This all sounds great. Marvin is a girls name in Canada, right?.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

Hey Greg,
I used the button out of total laziness for the calendars. Nice work, even if I owe you and BD about 35 cents each. I think I might give it to my dad hoping that it will inspire him to pickup a ski wider than 68mm......I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

Ummm no, But I do enjoy a free one now and again.
Might be a plan, but still want to go to Japan.
"fkn rockets" Only a "250"
I had a 75 400/4 supersport in 80 , was one awesome ride. It is on my list of classics I would like to pick up. Saw a blue one with 1200 original miles, unmolested this July go for $2400.

just missed a nice red 75 400F near me on ebay, went for like 1600$ 'tis the season.IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SKI SOMETHING

October turns? That means I'll be skiing this month. Is there any sign on snow up north yet?

I do. A thin white lubricating layer on the grass and the junkboards come out.
"The cold front will push the low out this evening allowing steadier rain to taper and become a mix of freezing and frozen precipitation types after midnight as temperatures drop to below freezing. Accumulations of snow and ice, as of this morning, look to be light but this will dependant on the timing of a secondary low that will be moving north along the front this afternoon. But most models have this passage occurring to our east so snow or ice should be less than an inch"

Let's get the stoke going with a little game of "Dude, where's my gnar?!"
Simple rules:
1. Photo's must be of terrain that is "inbounds" somewhere in the US
2. The poster must have taken the photo, is in it, or was there when it was taken
3. Points are awarded for place name, run name, feature name or other notable identifying detail, technology hack used to pinpoint lat/long.
Come on, everyone, dig though your archives and try to stump the mags.
I'll kick it off with this:

Here's a hint: It isn't Vermont

i couldn't even guess, but will throw out a kirkwood just for fun.
where is i? i know, not "inbounds", and not vermont.

easy one. i will say that what i was about to ski was completely smooth and untracked. wouldn't have it any other way. once it's got a track, i ain't goin back. utah spoiled me.

Woohoo, TC! You've got me on the first two (definitely yootar in #2), but pic #3 is a no brainer. Here's a shot of me dropping off the shoulder into the exact same little chute. I won't spoil the challenge for others by saying where it is:

BTW, nope, my first post isn't at Big Sky but you're in the right state.

2 are west and 1 is EC. It would be excellent to see you at Ullr Fest.
Looked like montana mountains, so gots to be MLB or Bridger then.

TC... number 2 looks like Squaw to me... definitely Tahoe? #3 Altabird?
I'm in VT doing some preparation for the fest... lighting, pig pit relocation, etc.
The good news is, all the new grading worked like a charm... no more big puddles by the tent. The bad news is, the generator pit still floods... oh well. Hopefully this rain was the big one and we will have good weather the 16th!Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
