do any mags work for magic mtn? Had some questions regarding the season pass. I'm taking a full load of classes through NYU's school of continuing education and wondering if I qualify for the student pass. I'm also working at EMS part time so wondering if that makes a difference or not.

EMS=FREE SKIING AT MAGIC
i work full time at ems in portsmouth and magic gives us free skiing. mad river and a whole bunch of other mountains do the same deal, free. some mountains like the loaf/riv/loon are 10 bux. makes chasing storms VERY affordable

so have your store manager or ski person (if you sell skis there) set up the deals. i'm the bike/ski guy at my store and start to contact mountains in early october. some mountains are cool tho. sometimes i'll just call a hill at last minute, bring a roster, and they give me a ticket when i get there.
i haven't skied magic yet, but when i do, i think i'll donate 10-20 bux per day purely because the mountain doesn't seem to rake in much cash and is amazingly generous to let us shop rats ski for free.
check into it.

so this is a new approach to early season skiing at Kmart? the stairway will give access to downloading on the gondy? ski off the north ridge triple? looks good to me. back in the day when the K1 double chair was still in running, we skied from the midstation on Cascade and Upper Downdraft. and then download off the summit at the end of the day. i'm jonesing so i'll prolly be there on day 1.

Can anyone vouch for this http://www.classicskitours.net/vermontTravel.asp ?
I saw it in this thread or in last year's. I was investigating the deals until the site indicated you gotta be a member to even see the discounts. Made me hesitate.
Any insight would be great.

Seriously guys, Lab is a pretty small little bump (if anyone saw the letter of the month in the newest Powder, I think the guy may be referring to Lab), but it's worth skiing for the cookies.
If Shane had ever made it to Lab, he probably would've slapped on some snowlerblades and tried to ride down the hill on one of their cookies, fucking big cookies, tasty too.
Oh yeah, they've got one glade thats pretty fun too.

I learned to ski at Lab. It's fun enough. Gets a little nutty on weeknights when all the ski club buses show up. Never had a cookie there though...maybe I should have.

You don't have to be a member to see all the deals. I used it last year and they kick ass.
Sugarbush's deal paid for the card in the first weekend easily, but their deal is the worst this year. Only SB and Jay make you pay in advance. I think Stowe this winter is $60 or so in prime season, even saturdays. The one time I had a problem with the site they got back to me really quickly, highly recommended.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to getting up there a few times, its been years......I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record
