For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

ah, decisions decisions...heading down from Montreal, winter tires already on...couple hours at least no matter how I dice it...really not sure where to go yet. Time to wax on, wax off, pack up, and pick somewhere at the last minute (I guess, 4:30AM r something dumb like that).

Hope to see some of you somewhere or other. Or not.

    Shred on!

You don't see an issue, but what would be the reaction of anyone who doesn't ski and see you crossing the border when the border patrol haven't seen snow in months?

Wondering if you are telling the truth or wondering what are you smoking? LOL

Definitely not gear related as I've crossed with some old boards when it's this time of the year.

Met the crew, ML242+1, Diamondback,TC and family at the Alchemist at 5. Used my contacts to secure a table as TC walked in the door. Had some tasty food and drove back to the Valley.
Weird trip as a car heading the other way veared off the road after passing TC and drilled a tree head on. I stopped but her friends got her out and into their car [bloody head and all] and sped off back the way they came. Sorry no pics.

Went to top of the App Gap met TC went back down then up for a picture.
Bunch of New Yorkers trying to push a Prius up the hill. More NYers in an F250 tried to pull it up then got stuck, prius turns around and crawls back down.

I finally honked so they would move and rolled by to the top

Umm - do wwe blame this on computer models Lionel, or did you turn to the darkside (meaning VT)

I used the finger moustache-finger moustache!
I'd say that my forecast totals for the adk- on my write up were for 4-8...with "more possible in higher terrain" so I'm really happy with that. The huge numbers up high - particularly the 2 feet of dry high on whiteface (which is an amazing number almost impossible to predict) were not on anybody's radar.
It wasn't being talked about because it resulted from a complex set factors of dynamic cooling and colder un-modled temperatures in the snow growth zone. Also- normally in strong easterly flow event the northern greens do better than the adk. They wring more moisture out of the flow and act to shield much of the adk. However, here it appears that Whiteface did much better as the flow was more circular around from the NE ...this mattered...

regardless...I'd never turn to that darkside....
You know where my heart lies....

As for all you skiing out there...I told you I liked the chance for october turns...so now go get some.

ML and co booting up at not quite the top of the bush. I had to bail before hitting top, but it was good up high, sketchy down low. And wet. Very very wet.

NIIIICE!!! Glad to see somebody getting after it. Haven't heard any reports from Maine yet but it looks like The Loaf probably got skunked. No snow at the base on the webcam. The top is totally covered in fog so can only hope that it's snowing up high under there.
