climbing skins direct
Hey everyone. Im looking into getting some new skins for this winter and was wondering if anyone had any comments regarding the skins from climbingskinsdirect.com because they are the best skins for the price i could find on the internet (~110$). Also they said make their skins specifically for twin tips unlike some other companies like black diamond that are made for skis with a flatter tail (or so they say). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

yes! yes! yes! I too was looking at new skins. and I found that climbingskinsdirect.com was the BEST site for purchasing skins ever. They have super clever marketing that is seamless and effective, and I recommend these fantastic business people as THE source for new skins. I bought special twin tip skins too! I rip sick tricks in the park, then skin up for another trip through the stunt ditch. no lifts, just pounding out vert in the park all day. up-down-up down.......tall tee, twin tips, skins, the park, all because of the good peeps at climbingskinsdirect.com, yes thats right climbingskinsdirect.com, thats climbingskinsdirect.com.

first off they sent me the wrong size of skins, would only refund if i paid for ship both ways. or i could exchange but wait a few months till spring and i still have to pay ship both ways (three ways actually, the first ship, sending them back and a third time for the correct pair).
so i just kept em, and they are POS. the glue is shitty. id stay away from them.

Wrong forum or not, the CSD skins are inferior to their competitors' products. bad glue, bad tip and tail fixtures, questionable durability. They are light, packable, and cheap, but thats all i can say for them.

i've put hundreds of days on their skins with no problems. when the glue wore out on one pair they sent me a new pair and didn't ask me to return the old ones. tech talk jong.

but anyways, can anyone recommend a good skin for the price? I hear great things about the BD's but i want to make sure its worth the extra 50 to 60 bucks. Also, is there anyway to transfer this thread into the gear talk? cheers

Sometimes skins go on sale over at SAC, other webstores have them for sale also. Gear swap is probably your best bet.
The zeal to dispense welcome abuse has apparently dropped off quite a bit.

climbing skins direct
I ordered some skins from from them 3 weeks ago. This is my 3rd or fourth set from them. Paypal says I was charged but they have not been sent out nor do they answer their email or phone messages. Do not want to be a hater but does anybody know what is going on? At this point I would be hesitate to recommend them and will shortly be trying to get my money back via paypal. Any info?
