But yeah - I vote for removing Polyass from new posts search. Or any search. In fact I say re-name it "The Loser Forum". In fact you should have to click on a waiver (like for the Padded Room) that confirms that you are, in deed, a loser.

Without all the pollyasshats post being on the top of the page, the whole PAH forum would theoretically shrivel up and die from a lack of use, like DBT's brain At the very least it would discourage all these asshats that are just here for political banter, and maybe they will go away.

If it were given the same opt in that the padded room has, it would be removed from new post searches. Until you opted in. You could always clear your cookies to make it go away again.

Sirshredalot: You need to install the Greasemonkey extension ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/ ).

After installing that and restarting Firefox, browse to http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25975 and click Install.

Once both Greasemonkey and the On-topic script are installed, right-click on the monkey icon on the bottom right hand side of the Firefox window, click "Manage User Scripts" and then edit the script. Change the "Off-Topic" forum in the code to "Political Asshattery", and you should be set. While you're in the manage scripts window, you should change the included pages from "*" to "http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/search.php*" so that the script doesn't accidentally mangle other pages.

This will filter the asshat forum out of search results and new post results.
