SVIIB (School of Seven Bells)
Since I'm always fashionably late to the party, I just stumbled upon this band tonight and am floored.
Been endlessly repeating this joint for more'n a spell this evening. It's off their sophomore effort, which dropped back in July.
Then again I'm a complete sucker for repetitive electro dancefloor beats and wonderfully harmonic femme fatale vox.
It doesn't hurt that the producer/guitarist is Benjamin Curtis formerly of Secret Machines (for whom I have much love in regards to their debut album).

Oh yeah, the acoustic version is just as mesmerizing.

Caught them live last night at the Independent in SF.
Mesmerizing show.
Definitely worth checking out if you like hypnotic femme fatale vocals (think Cocteau Twins, but slightly more aggressive) and swirling neo-psychedelic ambiance (guitarist is Ben Curtis formerly of Secret Machines).
