Sportlegs to help us old farts get after it!?

    Anyone with experience with Sportlegs?
I'm now a weekend warrior at best with life, wife and kids limiting my time to stay in tip top shape! Will this help prevent that fatigue and burn that I've noticed creep up sooner than desired in the last few years!
Says natural ingredients? Says there are no side effects except with acne drugs (fortunately, I stopped popping zits years ago!)? Anyone using this have side effects?
My local bike shop gave me some samples and I felt a difference! Or was it in my head? Thoughts?! Below is the link. Thanks.

I think they do help. I like 'em. Though I wish I could find a similar product for lung capacity!

I used the stuff at a bumps camp earlier this summer. It definitely worked wonders for me - I was able to wake up each morning w/ little-to-no fatigue from the day before. Great stuff.

is there something special about the mix of supplements in sportlegs?

why not just buy the same supplements from a vitamin website for 1/4 the price?

I got a couple bottles in an ultramarathon entry bag. Tried them a couple times but didn't notice any benefit. I'm pretty good about feeding my muscles with other good stuff, so YMMV.

Interesting stuff, I may have to give it a try.

    I like this blurb:

When do I take it? Take SportLegs one hour before sports or warmup exercise. Unlike ordinary vitamins, you don't have to take SportLegs every day. And there's no "loading" phase where you have to take it for a week or longer before you feel results. You'll feel the difference in your performance an hour after your first dose. Re-dose your full weight-appropriate dose every two to three hours for sustained sports or tournaments. And a dose at the end of activity enhances recovery.
Move upside and let the man go through...

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

20 days skiing in 2009/2010 (15 Powder days)
18 days skiing in 2010/2011 (15 Powder days)
    16 days skiing in 2011/2012 (2 cat days and 11 Powder day's)
    18 days skiing in 2012/2013 (12 powder day's)

Every high level mtb racer I've talked to in Durango hates the stuff.

I don't know what it'll do for more recreational pursuits.
Did you take recommended dose based on weight? Or too much? Heard that can cause the shits! Interesting?! More info on what else you take, eat, drink if anything out of the norm?

    Strad-

So sorry to hear SportLegs didn't work for you. It works for 999 out of 1000 other guys. We back our product with a satisfaction guarantee. Please email me at info@sportlegs.com for a refund.

Not sure who the Durango high-level MTB racers who hate SportLegs are. Any chance they could be yanking your chain? We've been honored to occasionally supply Durango MTB racing legends Ned Overend and Shonny VanLandingham over the years- not to mention other MTB pros like Adam Craig, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski, Heather Irmiger, Willow Koerber, Marla Streb, Richie Schley, Brian Lopes, Hans Rey and others.

Here is a product that should give you a similar result that you're seeking with Sportballs.

Calcium Magnesium with Vitamin D, 120 tabs, 333mg/167mg/133IU per tab, 3 for $9.99

    http://www.puritan.com/calcium-magne...6154?NewPage=1

Calcium Lactate, 200 tabs, 217mg per tab, 3 for $7.99

    http://www.puritan.com/calcium-suppl...=1&sortOrder=2

for the equivalent in sportslegs, you take a half tab of the cal-mag-d supp, and 6 calcium lactates. (with sportlegs you are still taking 3 tabs)

$18 compared to $27 for sportslegs.

$27 gets you 40 servings with sportslegs.

$18 gets you 720 servings of the cal-mag-d supp, and 100 servings of the lactate.

so you get about 18 times more product by buying independent for 2/3rds the price, if my math is correct.

I was really surprised that SportLegs seemed to slow me down, so I talked to the local B-listers. Off the top of my head I can say I talked with Greg Lewis, Miles Venzara, Ian Burnett, Robbie Robinette, Chad Wells and a few others. Since I'm putting names out on the intertubes, I guess I should say that I'm Eric Stradal.

I never discussed it with the local A-listers.

I apologize if I gave the impression that I talked to all the pros in Durango. I talked to 7 or 8 and none of them liked the product. I know it works great for some people. I'm just not one of them.

I do think it's a worthwhile experiment for anyone to try it.

Too much work. They used to sponsor the jr. freeride tour events that my son entered and no one else grabbed the enormous pile of samples they had available. I loaded up. Pretty much a lifetime supply. I'd buy them though after seeing what they do.

Cal/Mag can be have for a fraction of the price and IMHO last longer. Another aspect I found was better boot alignment, once I got skeletally stacked better in my boots and not have my muscles hold me up but my skeleton and not my muscles, I found much less fatigue.

Man! Just the thought of some new magic supplement and so many of you become excited. Shit, the stuff I read being contemplated on this board- recovery concoctions, special (double-secret probation) endurance drinks, novel vitamin/mineral cocktail formulations, etc...

I think that all y'all are a bunch of pussies for taking such special supplements or even considering them.
