TR - July 4th weekend in Idaho, Vid and Pics

Me and a couple friends headed up from Boise to Stanley Idaho, and then back around through Sun Valley enroute back to Boise. Got to do some camping, some drinking, and some mountain biking. Triple entendre of awesome.

Video (skip to 50seconds if you want to avoid 'i want to be cool and edit in pseudo-random b-roll stuff):

    Fisher Creek:
    Me -> Katy -> Lee

    Post Ride Beer and Smiles

    We like to pack light....

    Some Scenics from the campsite

We really like to rough it camping...100" High Def Projector, dish antenna, Pay Per View UFC fight. Not exactly my idea, but at least now I can say I have gone 'camping' with cable television.

    Some more Camping tomfoolery...

    Stanley Bakery in the morning...

Took the lift up at Sun Valley instead of riding up. whatever.

dont have any action pics, or any pics for that matter, from sun valley ski resort, so you'll have to settle for the video.

Aisle donkey is the term you were looking for.

What I like about the video is it captures the trip as a whole rather than just the rides. Looks like you guys had a great time!

I'll be heading up to Sun Valley in September myself, now that I live fairly close by.

Damn, those are some great photos and vid! I dunno about the whole camping with a TV thing, but the rest was seriously good. What equipment you using (ie., what vid camera, what still camera, were you using a chest harness for vid?)?

We were at the bakery at the same time. I realize this now. Word.

Beat me to it. I'd make the 6 hour drive just for their oatmeal pancakes.

Great pics and video. Makes me want to get back there even more.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

The bakery is the pinnacle of any trip to Stanley i think. I also like that when you get there, the parking lot usually full of cars with bikes mounted. I kind of want to go back now too.

Rebel XTI (17-50mm f2.8 tamron)/D90(kit 18-200 lens), gopro hero hd with chest mount, and a canon vixia hf100 for the video. it's a rag tag collection of stuff.

What were the fisheye-ish photos taken with? The 17-50?
