^ I thought "Joe" was really good. I'm not much of a Cage fan, thought he did a great job in this one.

Wentworth Prison is pretty good. I'll second The Fall being solid.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

Das finistere Tal - 2014 German movie, set in Alps in what looks like late 1800s, essentially a western revenge like For A Few Dollars More, etc. Typical slower pace of Euro movies, good alpine scenery, lots of mood/atmosphere.

The Fall season 2 - wtf?

    DANGER 5

After watching the first episode I can't decide if it's utterly brilliant or superbly stupid. Either way, it's entertaining.

Imagine Thunderbirds Are Go! fornicating with Get Smart whilst The Mod Squad watches from the sidelines.

If that doesn't sell you, then imagine Hitler, dinosaurs, talking German shepards, gratuitious smoking, incessant libatory indulging, blood, guts, cheesy special effects, and extra long tongues planted firmly in over-sized cheeks.

    Or just watch the teaser:

"Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."

A few years old now (2012), but "Shut Up and Play the Hits" was a really good movie of LCD's last concert.

king arthur was awful. clive owen is pretty to look at and all but not much of a horseman. terrible acting. terrible stupid overwrought story about archers and blood. makes me really miss excalibur when i was a kid which was one of the most incredible experiences i had in the film realm.

    Netflix: instaView rec's

Another really great documentary The Men Who Built America. Well produced series showing the rise of Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Ford and J.P. Morgan.

The LA Egomaniac movie was good. Should be required viewing for THIEVESTRONG fans and Oprah fans.

I don't think there are any of those people left. That dogpile disbanded almost before he puked on Oprah.

Watched "All This Mayhem" the other day.

Didn't know anything about the Pappas brothers. Basically they were a pair of self destructive assholes who had too much money and fame too early. But I never would have predicted they went as far as they did.

The story about Tony Hawk and the 900 was fascinating.

Watching White Bird in a Blizzard.
Eva Green actually let someone else take her clothes off for a change. Hot too.
Not a bad movie so far.
    No longer stuck.

    BAD TURN WORSE

Pretty decent little Texas noir owing no small debt to the works of Jim Thompson.

    YOUNG ONES

Post-big drought, neo-apocalyptic slowburn sci-fi western centering on three main characters. Somewhat timely subject matter given the current climate state of Cali.

If you dug Take Shelter and The Rover, then this should be right up your alley.
