Thread: anyone ridden mt Washington?

is it cool? i would like to go check it out. the website makes it look pretty cool. i have a whistler pass though, so its hard to just not go there.

how long does it realistically take to get there from the boarder?

I ride Washington probably a dozen days a season,its a great park that has really upped its game the last couple of years. Obviously not on the scale of Whistler but plenty of variety to keep you busy for a couple of days with 2 lifts serving a couple of different zones.
This season things are of to a bit of a slow start as theres still a lot of snow in the alpine,probably be a couple more weeks before everything is open and dried out.
The local riding in the neighboring Comox Valley and Campbell River is off the hook as well with everything from epic singletrack to awesome shuttle rides.Cheap accommodations at http://www.ridingfool.com/ with the local trails just a short pedal away and 25 minutes to Mt Washington.
Your looking at a couple hrs to the Island on the Tswassen or Horseshoe Bay ferry then an hour and a half drive to Wash...

thanks for the beta dude. sounds like i should put off checking it out until it melts out, and make a couple day trip out of it.
